Death - why fear it? (Poem)

Mariam Deeb (@)

Posted Monday 20th August 2012 from Twitlonger
A BEAUTIFUL poem about death, by an amazing poet (@), masha'Allah. May Allah bless him and increase him in his talent!

Why fear death?

Death is a blessing in disguise

Today’s culture portrays unimportant things

Take a couple eye drops; if that’s what opens your eyes

Open your eyes and realize

So it’s the culture you’re trying to survive?

Death is the truth; don’t hide it

Don’t put it in a box and think outside it

False guidance leaves you close-minded

You see..

Accepting death makes you more human

But being human doesn’t make you cool? Huh?

You see..

People wanna chase temporary greens

Others wanna pursue their dreams

But being yourself should be your first priority

Don’t put death on a shelf

Death is a blessing itself

Stop chasing wealth

Start increasing a mentally good health

Till it’s too late, then you’ll feel ashamed to ask for help

Don’t put death in a box

Cause eventually it will just break the locks

It’ll come to you at a night when you’re just in bed

Next morning you wake up and can’t even feel your head

A couple days later, you’re the next one dead

Learn to be genuine, before you take your last breath

Live your life, but don't forget death

Love and Betrayal

This is dedicated to my great 3 loves for whom the world will never know:  fashion, jewelry and beauty - (figurative of course)

Love and Betrayal

A Poem by JohnTheSavage

Your smile kills the darkness in my heart
Hours near you seem like fleeting moments
But fate is cruel and we must be apart
Betraying a friend has no atonements

It was only one night spent together
Walking elated far above the clouds
Around you I'm floating like a feather
Then reality drapes me in black shrouds

Should I follow the siren calls of love?
Should I steal you from the arms of a friend?
To be as hated as rats in a pub
Breaking something that I may never mend

If I give in and confess all that is true,
Will you love me the way that I love you?
