About Me

My photo
[Rubaiat`s Blog]
A unique person who can be enigmatic or eccentric at times but faithfully loyal, won`t compromise my ideals, a visionary and humanitarian at heart who will rush in where others fear to tread...and will always go bat for the little guy. **Quotes to live by**- "Illegitimi non carborundum" -'Don`t let the bastards bring you down' "Omne ignotum pro magnifico" - 'And for that reason I will never reveal my secrets.' "Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?" -'Who will guard the guards?'(Satires of Juvenal) "Cogito ergo sum" - 'I think, therefore I am' (Rene Descartes) "Sine labore nihil" - 'Nothing without work' "Si Deus pro nobis quis contra nos?" - 'If God is with us who can be against us?'

[Under Sec. 107 of Copyright Act (1976), allowance is made for 'Fair Use' for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. Fair Use is a use permitted by copyright statute that might otherwise be infringing. Non-profit, educational or personal use tips the balance in favor of Fair Use. (Moe, AllSeeingEye)]

Fair Use Copyright Disclaimer (for images, videos & audio clips):

I do not claim to own the copyrights of all the images, videos or audio clips utilized incidentally in the compilation of this blog, and I acknowledge that they belong wholly to their respective original copyright holders and state that no malicious copyright infringement or violation is intended. The use of incidental copyrighted material is covered under the 'Fair Use (Copyright Act) 17 U.S.C Section 107, with particular emphasis on such use for educational and non-profit purposes, which states:
"Notwithstanding the provisions of section 106 and 106A, the fair use of a copyrighted work, including such use by reproduction in copies or phono-records or by any other means specified by that section, for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching (including multiple copies for classroom use), scholarship, or research, is not an infringement of copyright."

The videos used on this site are for purposes of publicly disseminating uniquely original educational information for non-profit gain in accordance with the YouTube submission policy. The overall usage of individual clips amounts to very little in relation to the original copyrighted works in totality, and the selected portions are respectfully and appropriately used to elaborate upon alternative and diverse religious and philosophical perspectives that do not necessarily represent the viewpoints of the original copyright holders. As I am not competing financially with the original copyright holders, this does not infringe upon their potential market share. These videos are intended for use by subscribers and viewers to my blog and is forbidden to be used for illegal profit or redistribution.

Digital Millennium Copyright Act
In Aug 2008, U.S. District Judge Jeremy Fogel of San Jose, California, ruled that copyright holders cannot order a deletion of an online file without determining whether that posting reflected "fair use" of the copyrighted material.
