The Invisible Children NGO, most famous for its Kony 2012 online video, helped the Ugandan government arrest a former child soldier and backed an operation that killed more civilians than militants, cables published by Wikileaks reveal.

A memo written by a public affairs officer at the US embassy in Uganda documents Invisible Children’s collaboration with Ugandan intelligence services. It notes that the US-based NGO tipped the Ugandan government on the whereabouts of Patrick Komakech, a former child soldier for the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA), who was wanted by security officials for extorting money from the government officials, NGO’s and local tribal leaders. Ugandan security organizations jumped the tip and immediately arrested Komakech.

As a result of the tip, the Ugandan military claimed it obtained the names of other suspects from Komakech. The military then conducted a sweep and arrested a number of people, many of whom declared their innocence, the Ugandan media reported. Human rights groups say torture of arrested suspects by Ugandan security forces is routine.

Invisible Children also actively supported Operation Lightning Thunder (OLT), a joint attack by Uganda, the Democratic Republic of Congo and the then-autonomous South Sudan against the LRA. The operation, which was also received US intelligence and logistical backing, killed more civilians than LRA militants.

In a confidential memo dating back to 2009, US ambassador to Uganda Steven Browning noted that the US-based NGO planned pro-OLT events under the theme “Kony Must Be Stopped. Rescue Our Children”.

Browning says local Invisible Children activists led the events. These events included visiting Washington to meet with lawmakers and conducting awareness campaigns in the US, the UK, Australia, Canada and Mexico.

But Norbert Mao, a Ugandan opposition politician who, Browning claimed, “honchoed” the 2009 events, disputes the veracity of the ambassador’s assessment.

“I did not support OLT,” Mao told The Black Star News “It was an operation to rain bombs in the areas where Kony was believed to be participating and would lead to indiscriminate killing of those the operation was intended to rescue. But even so, I believe there is no purely military solution to the LRA issue. Even after the release of Kony 2012 I stated clearly that the doors to peaceful solutions must never be closed”.

Kony 2012 has been viewed over 100 million times and Invisible Children is now planning to release a sequel to the video. It has been criticized for oversimplified the issue, in which religious fundamentalism and century-long intertribal conflicts intertwine. It has also been accused of providing financial aid for the Ugandan government and Sudan People’s Liberation Army, both of which have regularly been charged with human rights violations. Invisible Children denied this claim, however. It has also been blamed for being heavy on advocacy and weak on aid, with most of the money spent for staff salaries, travel and transport and film production.
The release of the video followed a decision by US President Barack Obama to deploy 100 US soldiers to the region to help “remove” Joseph Kony from the picture.

The conflict between the Ugandan government, led by Yoweri Musevini, and the Lord Resistance Army, led by Joseph Kony, has lasted for over two decades.

The blonde-haired, blue-eyed, Christian filmmaker behind the Internet’s most recent famous activism campaign, “Kony 2012,” has been arrested. For masturbating. And being drunk. And vandalizing cars. In public. In the morning.

Jason Russell, 33, was arrested Thursday morning by the San Diego Police Department in Southern California and the earliest reports detailing the incident suggest it was one hell of a day already for the Invisible Children co-founder and proclaimed “mastermind” behind the Kony 2012 viral video. Police say he was described as "in his underwear" when the first 911 calls were made.

San Diego Police Department Lieutenant Andrea Brown tells a local NBC affiliate that Russell was found masturbating in public, vandalizing cars and possibly under the influence of an unknown substance at around 11:30 am on Thursday. Authorities detained him at the intersection of Ingraham Street and Riviera Drive in San Diego, only a stone’s throw from the Pacific Ocean.

When the Kony 2012 campaign was released earlier this month, Russell’s activism group, Invisible Children, described him on their website as being the “grand storyteller and dreamer” behind their operation. By Friday afternoon, however, the bio page of the Invisible Children website was unavailable.

Within minutes of the news of his arrest being released on Friday, the group issued a statement. Invisible Children CEO Ben Keesey published an one-paragraph press release, but did not touch on the topic of arrest. Instead, Keesey says, “Jason Russell was unfortunately hospitalized yesterday suffering from exhaustion, dehydration and malnutrition."

"He is now receiving medical care and is focused on getting better. The past two weeks have taken a severe emotional toll on all of us, Jason especially, and that toll manifested itself in an unfortunate incident yesterday," added Russell.

Speaking on behalf of the San Diego PD, Lt. Brown also made an announcment. NBC reports she described Russell as acting “very strange,” but when your charges include public masturbation and auto vandalism a few feet from the shores of the Pacific while stumbling incoherently on a Thursday night, that’s pretty much a given.

"He was no problem for the police department, however, during the evaluation we learned that we probably needed to take care of him," Brown explained to the media. "So officers detained him and transferred him to a local medical facility for further evaluation and treatment."

Answering allegations earlier this month that Invisible Children were profiting off of donations assumed to go towards ousting African warlord Joseph Kony, Russell defended the practices of his charity group by saying that their funds are funneled through an array of different endeavors.

"We're an unorthodox organization," Russell said at the time.

The viral Kony 2012 propaganda film has stoked anger amongst those it was ostensibly designed to help – Ugandan citizens – who see through the movie as a transparent ploy to legitimize a US military invasion of Africa.



During a screening of the documentary in northern Uganda, the area that was worst affected by Joseph Kony’s LRA, crowds reacted with confusion, anger and eventually violence, throwing rocks at the screen in protest against the underhanded motive behind the film.

...As the rocks begin to be pelted at the screen, the Al Jazeera reporter notes that the film “clearly doesn’t resonate with many of the people it claims it’s meant to help.”

Ugandans also expressed disgust at the notion that the face of Kony was being used to adorn t-shirts, a display that they feel belittles their suffering. Of course, the fact that the Invisible Children organization behind the Kony 2012 film is a business empire posing as a charity that spends the majority of its expenses on lining the pockets of its owners explains why the merchandise is just as important as the message.

Americans of Ugandan origin have took to You Tube to express their suspicion and confusion about why a shadowy western organization is whipping up support around using US military forces to hunt down a man who has not even been in Uganda for six years, no longer holds any influence in the region, and is even presumed dead by some observers...

The author of the blog aangirfan writes: “In Uganda, Joseph Kony is the leader of the Lord’s Resistance Army, ‘which is a US and Mossad-backed guerilla force.’” He quotes Richard Cottrell, a former European MP, journalist, and author of the book, “Gladio: NATO’s Dagger At The Heart of Europe,” who wrote in an article in October 2011 called, “African ping pong: US plays both sides in Uganda”:

     “The Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) rampaging around Uganda is nothing more than a 
     US and Mossad-backed guerilla force.

     Its task is to destabilize wide areas of Africa rich in minerals like Uganda, ex-French and   
     Belgian Congo, and Sudan.

     Joseph Kony, the self-appointed leader of the LRA, ex-choir boy, brilliantly flexible break  
     dancer, the new US terrorist poster boy, has been on the CIA’s books for years.”

Based on this analysis, the CIA is probably also involved in the million-dollar propaganda campaign to draw American people’s attention towards Uganda, and Joseph Kony in particular, in order to secure public opinion in support of a U.S. and UN intervention in the country.

     “What is going on in Central Africa is a fine old game of ping pong, the new scramble for  
     Africa, in which western intelligence (American CIA, British MI6, Belgian intelligence,

One of the CIA agents who was involved in the illegal assassination of the Congolese leader Patrice Lumumba was Frank Carlucci, who was the Secretary of Defense in the Reagan administration in the late 1980s. After leaving office, he became the chairman of the infamous Carlyle Group from 1992 to 2003, a company that is linked to the Bush and Bin Laden families, as well as other nasty people.

These people are not only raping and murdering Africa, but they’re raping and murdering America and pretty much the whole planet. They don’t have human empathy, they are motivated by greed and want to take total control over the populations and resources of Earth.

...While researching this article, a rare interview with Joseph Kony himself was found. Kony states that his fight is against Ugandan President Museveni, who by any definition is indeed a tyrannical, mass murdering dictator. Kony states that he is actually a “freedom fighter” fighting for “democracy.” With talk like that, it is a surprise that the US State Department isn’t funding and arming him. Ironically, recent reports indicate that the US may just have been, and that the West was funding and backing both Kony and Museveni to ensure that the entire region remained in constant turmoil. The purpose of this from a geopolitical point-of-view is quite simple, as encapsulated in the following ancient Chinese stratagem:

While the political left and an army of Hollywood trendies are clamoring for a U.S. Military invasion of Uganda to capture Joseph Kony, a man who has not even been in the country for six years, Ugandan authorities, backed by the World Bank and British carbon trading companies, are slaughtering Ugandan villagers and stealing their land in a brutal new form of neo-colonialism that has gone largely unnoticed.

Following the release of Kony 2012, a film made by a shadowy charity with links to USAID, the Tweetosphere exploded with a deluge of leftist politicos and clueless celebrities jumping on the bandwagon to call for Barack Obama to launch yet another act of “humanitarian” bloodletting to go after Kony, leader the of Lord’s Resistance Army (LRC).

NGO Invisible Children’s Kony 2012, a documentary about the sketchy African warlord Joseph Kony, went viral on YouTube last week.

“With its slick Hollywood production values, the film has been an almost instant viral success, dominating Twitter worldwide and having one of the fastest ever take-offs on You Tube,” Polly Curtis and Tom McCarthy wrote for the Guardian on Thursday. “The hashtag #stopkony has had hundreds of thousands of tweets, and millions of people now know something about Uganda and what is happening to children there. Support for the campaign to end the conflict in the country this year is spreading.”

A constellation of celebrities and politicians have lined up behind the film and support its call to track down Joseph Kony of the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRC) and put him in the docket at the United Nation’s International Criminal Court for exploiting children in his war in Uganda. Lady GaGa, Bill Gates, George Clooney, Bill Clinton, Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs, Harry Reid, Angeline Jolie and other supposedly “liberal” notables are behind the Invisible Children plan to snag Kony before the end of 2012. The film was tweeted by the likes of Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Oprah Winfrey, and Ryan Seacrest.

Film star and CFR “ambassador” Angelina Jolie voiced her support last week during the Third Annual Women In The World Summit in New York. Jolie’s image appears near the end of Kony 2012 (a virtual blessing of the effort by the CFR, although the globalist confab has publicly complained about the cynical manipulation of facts by Invisible Children).

Kony 2012 may seem to focus on yet another humanitarian issue supported by caring liberals, but in fact it is part of a larger geopolitical objective devised by the globalists. While Invisible Children’s finances are murky, there is evidence showing that it is a project supported by USAID, the “civilian foreign aid” agency run out of the NSC and the State Department that shares “a close working relationship with the CIA.”

USAID stands accused of working to undermine governments in a number of countries, including Haiti, Venezuela, Cuba, Bolivia, Uruguay, Sri Lanka and Eritrea. “USAID is the collaborator and executor of CIA plots, and secret plans of the State Department,” writes Ajit Randeniya for a Sri Lankan website. “Its role is to act as an instrument of CIA penetration into civil society by enabling the ‘legitimate’ funding aimed at promoting U.S. foreign policy abroad and influencing internal politics of foreign nations.”

...As we noted in October, the LRA has provided an ideal pretext for the global elite as they expand their reach into Africa. Following the adoption of the LRA Disarmament and Northern Uganda Recovery Bill by Congress in 2009 that was signed by Obama in early 2010, the U.S. sent soldiers to Uganda under the guise of tracking down the LRA and capturing Kony (who has not been seen since 2006 and may in fact be dead). He is but another sinister figure in a globalist arranged pantheon of evil-doers, including the late Osama bin Laden.

“Although the U.S. forces are combat-equipped, they will only be providing information, advice, and assistance to partner nation forces, and they will not themselves engage LRA forces unless necessary for self-defense,” Obama said on October 14. A similar caveat prior to the Vietnam War led to the death of nearly 60,000 American soldiers and around 3 million Southeast Asians...

Something very malicious is unfolding from this campaign. A Military Intervension of the United States means that the final goal is to attain oil. We cannot allow this to happen. Yes, Kony must die. But only after 20 years, when the United States wants the oil. We must all focus on Operation V and forget this propaganda. They called their video an experiment. It means we're their subjects.
