Singing and music are two tools of Satan that are used to ruin the heart of the human and to destroy his soul.

Ibn al-Qayyim has written that from the machinations of the enemy of Allah and snares that he uses on those who are lacking in knowledge, intelligence and religion and by which he traps the hearts of the ignorant and foolish is by listening to clapping, whistling and singing to forbidden instruments that take the hearts away from the Quran and make them addicted to sins and lewdness.

This is the “Quran” (reciting) of Satan and it keeps one from the Quran of the Merciful. It is the chant of the homosexuals and adulterers. Satan is able to deceive the wrongful souls by it. He makes it look good to them by way of deception. He inspires them with false thoughts to consider it something good.

They accept his guidance and, therefore, neglect and avoid the Quran.’

One of the strangest phenomena is people using music and singing as a type of worship or a way of getting closer to Allah while at the same time they leave the recital of the Merciful for the recital of Satan.

Ibn al-Qayyim listed the following as terms used for such music: useless amusement, nonsense, futility, false speech, the invocation of adultery, the recital of Satan, the planting of hypocrisy in the heart, the sound of the foolish, the sound of the evil-doer, the sound of Satan and the psalms of Satan.

In Ramadhaan the Angel whos in control of Jannah named Ridwan is commanded by Allah to Spread Wide Open the Doors of Jannah, and the Angel whos in control of Jahannum named Malik is told to close the doors of Jahannum, and Angel Jibreel (AS) is told to come to the dunya and to put the Shaitaans into shackles and throw them into the Ocean so they dont cause any Mischief.

Subhanallahi Wabihamdihi.

Allah is Indeed giving us Countless of chances so then we may TURN to him in forgiveness even after putting the shaitaans into shackles, we still are ungrateful, many are still heedless of Allahs Mercy, Grace snd Forgiveness...
So dont blame Shaitaan in this month Blame YOURSELVES!

Arrogance is one of the characteristics of Iblees, so whoever wants to be arrogant should realize that he is acquiring a characteristic of the devils, and that he is not acquiring a characteristic of the noble angels who obeyed their Lord and fell down prostrate. Moreover, arrogance may be the cause of a person being deprived of Paradise and may mean that the Lord of Glory will not even look at him, as it says in the following two ahaadeeth:

It was narrated from 'Abd-Allaah ibn Mas'ood that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "No one who has an atom's-weight of arrogance in his heart will enter Paradise." A man said, "O Messenger of Allaah, what if a man likes his clothes and his shoes to look good?" He said, "Allaah is Beautiful and loves beauty. Arrogance means rejecting the truth and looking down on people."

The nature of the accursed snake

There is only one person on Earth whom I know who shares the deceptive and enmitous qualities of the accursed snake. For the vile venom that spews out of this person`s mouth, ye does not realize the destruction one is sowing as she lives in a world of ignorant bliss. But even on the day of horror - Yawm al Qiyamah (Day of Judgement), Shaytaan and his army will run and hide but there will be no refuge from the Almighty. So continue spewing the vile venom upon others as they are all recorded in your deeds, there will be no respite in the end. (RSA)

If you have grief or sorrows or fear the evil eye or the deception of people or Shaytan then these are some very simple and short but powerful prayers for protection that we came across in Qurtubi’s Tafsir.

Qurtubi quotes a hadith in which Anas (Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace) said, “Whoever reads (when leaving the home) Bismillahi tawakkaltu ‘ala ‘Llah, La hawla wala quwwata illa bi ‘Llah, it is said to him, ‘You have been sufficed (placed in care) and protected,’ and the Shaytan distances himself from him” (Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud).

Qurtubi further reports, “Whoever reads four formulas is protected from four evils:

(1) Whoever says Ma sha Allah, la quwwata ill bi ‘Llah is protected from the evil eye.

(2) Whoever says  Hasbuna ‘Llahu wa ni’m al-wakil is protected from the scheming of Shaytan.

(3) Whoever says Wa ufawwidu amri ila ‘Llah is protected from the scheming of people.

(4) Whoever says La ilaha illa Anta subhanaka, inni kuntu min al-zalimin is protected from grief.

(Qurtubi, Al-Jami’ Li Ahkam al-Qur’an 10:407, under verse 39 of Surat al-Kahf.)

Protection from the Shaytaan when leaving home (hadith)

Qurtubi quotes a hadith in which Anas (Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace) said, “Whoever reads (when leaving the home) Bismillahi tawakkaltu ‘ala ‘Llah, La hawla wala quwwata illa bi ‘Llah, it is said to him, ‘You have been sufficed (placed in care) and protected,’ and the Shaytaan distances himself from him” 


-(Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud).

The enmity of Shaytaan

“Shaytaan (Satan) wants only to excite enmity and hatred between you with intoxicants (alcoholic drinks) and gambling, and hinder you from the remembrance of Allaah and from As-Salaah (the prayer). So, will you not then abstain?” [Sura al-Maa'idah 5:91]

Narrated by Abu Hurairah (RA): Allah`s Messenger (SAW) said: "During your sleep, Shaytaan knots 3 knots at the back of the head of each one of you. On every knot he reads and exhales the following words - 'The night is long for you to stay asleep.' When that person wakes up and remembers Allah, one knot is undone; and when he performs ablution, the second knot is undone; and when he offers Salah (prayer), the third knot is undone and he gets up energetic in a good mood and with a good heart in the morning; otherwise he gets up in a bad mood, lazy (and with not a good heart). [Sahih Bukhari, Book of Prayer 19, Chpt 10, No. 604]

Shaytaan told her:
"Who would ask for your hand in marriage while you are wearing Hijaab?!
How can anyone love to marry you while you are wearing Jilbab? Why don’t you use makeup to show your beauty?
Why don’t you attract boy’s eyes to your femininity?"

She replied:
"By wearing Hijab, I am obeying the One Who created me, and obedience of Allah has never limited my freedom but it set me free.
I am not a piece of candy which attracts eager eyes.
Hijaab preserve women dignity.
That's what all girls should realize!
Hijaab is the crown of my chastity
It is the secret of my liberty.
The one who will marry me, will be proud of my purity.
He will cherish me for he will be pious and wise.
He will hold my hand and take me right to paradise" (In shaa Allah) -Aameen

For the true believers, fear Allah and no one else!

Those believers to them the people (hypocrites) said: "Surely, the people (pagans) have gathered against you a great army, so fear them." But it increased them in faith, and they said:  

 حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ  

"Allah alone is sufficient for us and Allah is the excellent Guardian." So they returned (home) with favor and bounty of Allah, and no harm touched them. They followed the good pleasure of Allah. Allah is the Owner of great bounty. It is only Shaytaan that suggests fear to you of its supporters. So you do not fear them, but fear Allah, if you are true believers. [Noble Quran, Sura Al Imran 3:173-175]

Virtues of reciting:  حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ  (Hasbunallahu wa ni`mal wa keel)

Say and do good, for verily Shaytaan is to man a plain enemy (Sura Al Isra)

"And say to My slaves that they should (only) say those words that are the best. Shaytaan verily, sows a state of conflicts and disagreements amongst them. Surely, Shaytaan is to man a plain enemy." (Sura Al Isra' 17:53)

Satan is closer than you would expect (hadith)

Satan (Shaytaan, the accursed devil) flows through the Son of Adam as like the blood flows through his veins. [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 3, Book 33, Number 255]

The Fahsha of Satan (Shaytaan) for he is your open enemy

أَلَمْ أَعْهَدْ إِلَيْكُمْ يبَنِى ءَادَمَ أَن لاَّ تَعْبُدُواْ الشَّيطَـنَ إِنَّهُ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِينٌ - وَأَنِ اعْبُدُونِى هَـذَا صِرَطٌ مُّسْتَقِيمٌ - وَلَقَدْ أَضَلَّ مِنْكُمْ جِبِلاًّ كَثِيراً أَفَلَمْ تَكُونُواْ تَعْقِلُونَ

O Children of Adam! Did I (Allah) not ordain for you that you should not worship Satan? Surely, he is a plain enemy to you. And that you should worship me (Allah); That is the right way. Indeed he (Satan) has led a great number of you astray; Did you not then understand? [Sura Yasin 36: 60-62]

الشَّيْطَـنُ يَعِدُكُمُ الْفَقْرَ وَيَأْمُرُكُم بِالْفَحْشَآء وَاللَّهُ يَعِدُكُم مَّغْفِرَةً مّنْهُ وَفَضْلاً وَاللَّهُ وسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ

Satan threatens you with poverty and orders you to commit Fahsha (evil deeds, illegal sexual intercourse, sins etc.), whereas Allah promises you forgiveness from Himself and bounty. Allah is Self-Sufficient, All-Knowing. [Sura Al-Baqarah 2:268]

Satan (Shaytaan) is Your Avowed Enemy

Have you ever heard the phrase, “keep your friends close, and your enemies closer”? This phrase was coined by Sun-Tzu, a Chinese military general and strategist around 400 BC. The phrase emphasizes the awareness of your enemies, their tactics and characteristics in order to be a step ahead of their deceitful and plotting ways.

Consider this: your enemy is closer than you would expect. The Prophet, sallalahu alayhi wasalaam, said: “The Shaytaan flows through the son of Adam as the blood flows through his veins.”

So are you aware of his tactics? Are you aware of his devious plans and plots? “Surely, Shaytaan is an enemy to you, so take (treat) him as an enemy. He only invites his Hizb (followers) that they may become the dwellers of the blazing Fire.” (Faatir:6)

So that we better know our enemy in order to divert ourselves from his evil ways, let’s examine his characteristics and traits:

KNOW YOUR ENEMY

HE IS ARROGANT
Arrogance was the first characteristic that brought Iblis to his downfall. When he was commanded to prostrate to Adam, he refused. “((Allah)) said: ‘What prevented thee from bowing down when I commanded thee?’ He said: ‘I am better than he: Thou didst create me from fire, and him from clay.’" (Al A-raf:12) Arrogance is not an attribute of the Muslim; rather, those who share similar qualities such as being conceited and condescending will be punished too. “But to those who believe and do deeds of righteousness, He will give their (due) rewards - and more, out of His bounty: But those who are disdainful and arrogant, He will punish with a grievous penalty; Nor will they find, besides Allah, any to protect or help them. (An-Nisaa:173)

HE PLOTS
He plotted long ago against mankind. "He said: "Because thou hast thrown me out of the way, lo! I will lie in wait for them on thy straight way: Then will I assault them from before them and behind them, from their right and their left: Nor wilt thou find, in most of them, gratitude (for thy mercies). ((Allah)) said: "Get out from this, disgraced and expelled. If any of them follow thee - Hell will I fill with you all." (Al A’raf:16-18)

His plotting started as soon as you entered this world. It was narrated by Abu Huraira that Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger, sallalahu alayhi wasalaam, as saying: “The crying of the child (starts) when the satan begins to prick him.” [Muslim, Book 30, Number 5839]
His plotting will continue till the Day of Judgment. Allah, subhanahu wa t’ala, has given him a period of time in which he invites others in deceiving ways so that they will be his companions of the Hellfire. “He said: ‘Give me respite till the day they are raised up. ((Allah)) said: ‘Be thou among those who have respite." (Al A’raf:14-15)

HE ENCOURAGES STINGINESS
Muslims are encouraged to be charitable with the rizq in which Allah has provided them. But shaytaan whispers to mankind, persuading them to refrain from being charitable for fear of becoming poor. “The Evil one threatens you with poverty and bids you to conduct unseemly.” (Baqara:268)

HE IS DECEITFUL
His schemes are calculated - preying upon man’s deluded whims; but they are hollow and without substance. “Satan makes them promises, and creates in them false desires; but satan's promises are nothing but deception.” (An-Nisaa:120)

HIS PROMISES ARE FRUITLESS
“And Satan will say when the matter is decided: "It was Allah Who gave you a promise of Truth: I too promised, but I failed in my promise to you. I had no authority over you except to call you but ye listened to me: then reproach not me, but reproach your own souls. I cannot listen to your cries, nor can ye listen to mine. I reject your former act in associating me with Allah. For wrong-doers there must be a grievous penalty." (Ibrahim:22)

HE HAS NO CONTROL OVER THE FAITHFUL
“Behold, he has no power over those who have attained to faith and in their Sustainer place their trust: he has power only over those who are willing to follow him, and who [thus] ascribe to him a share in God's divinity.” (An-Nahl:99-100) Allah also revealed in the Quran: "(And yet,) behold, thou shall have no power over [such of] My servants [as place their trust in Me]: for none is as worthy of trust as thy Sustainer." (Al Isra:65)

EVEN HE FEARS ALLAH
“the like of [what happens] when Satan says unto man, ‘Deny the truth!’ - but as soon as [man] has denied the truth, [Satan] says, ‘Behold, I am not responsible for thee: behold, I fear God, the Sustainer of all the worlds!’” (Hashr:16)

OVERCOME YOUR ENEMY

Seek refuge with Allah immediately when you feel him near. "Verily, they who are conscious of God bethink themselves [of Him] whenever any dark suggestion from Satan touches them - whereupon, lo! they begin to see [things] clearly" (Al A'raf:201)

Before you sleep at night, recite ayat al kursi. It was reported that the Prophet, sallalahu alayhi wasalaam, said: "When you are about to sleep recite aayat-ul-kursiyy till the end of the verse for there will remain over you a protection from Allaah and no devil will draw near to you until morning."

Know your enemy. Know his moves, know his characteristics, know his personality. By knowing his ways in which he devises your downfall, you will know the ways to overcome him.
