The ultimate losers on the Day of Judgment

Al-Hasan Al-Basri was asked: “Who is going to cry more than the others on the Day of Resurrection?”

He answered: “A man on whom Allah has bestowed His Grace and who uses that for Allah’s disobedience.”

When afflicted with calamities or dishonor, do we ever ask ourselves are WE to blame for our misdeeds?

As in human nature, when we are blessed with the bounties of this world - in wealth, children, honor..., we say we say 'we have been blessed.' But on the flip side, when we are faced with calamities, dishonor and despair in the world, we immediately rush to judge, blame and scratch our heads as to why the bounties are being taken away and squandered. Little do we ever think of OUR actions - are they just? are they halal? am I being proud and arrogant? am I protecting my tongue by not engaging in idle talk, gossip and backbiting? am I being loving and caring to my family and elders? do I betray the trusts and promises of others? do I disrespect my elders, my older brothers, sisters, family...? am I deceiving and tricking the Lord? am I following the commands of Allah and example of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)?

In the Holy Quran, Allah says:

     "But when Allah tries them (the people) through restricting their means of life, then they 
     say 'Our Rabb has humiliated us!'

     Nay! But you did not treat the orphans with kindness and generosity, nor did you 
     encourage each other in feeding the poor! You devour inheritance (of the weak) with 
     greed, and you love wealth with much love!...and hell will be brought near (in sight) that   
     day (Day of Judgment). On that day people will remember (their deeds), but how the 
     remembrance will avail them? (Surah Al-Fajr 89:16-23)

So, people, please examine yourselves. Change begins from within. Be beacons of example and hope for humanity. Humanity is at the crossroads and have begun the march to the qiyamah (Day of Judgement). There is still time for change and reflection and importantly the praise of the Lord above, who has created us only for a short while in this world. Please I urge you all to act more kindly to your family, and leave the ignorant idle talk and actions that are of no use to you in this life - they only mask and deceive reality.

We Muslims ARE the students in this life...

The nature of the accursed snake

There is only one person on Earth whom I know who shares the deceptive and enmitous qualities of the accursed snake. For the vile venom that spews out of this person`s mouth, ye does not realize the destruction one is sowing as she lives in a world of ignorant bliss. But even on the day of horror - Yawm al Qiyamah (Day of Judgement), Shaytaan and his army will run and hide but there will be no refuge from the Almighty. So continue spewing the vile venom upon others as they are all recorded in your deeds, there will be no respite in the end. (RSA)

The Promised Day (Day of Qiyamah) - Abdullah Mubarak

For how long...for how long are we going to be heedless of the signs of Allah? For how long are we going to be busy with the dunya (world), busy making money, chasing our fruitful dreams, following our desires? We know my brothers and sisters, that death is a reality, you can`t run away from death, even if you were in a fortress with walls built up high death is going to come and find you.

Imagine your time is today, what have you got to take back to Allah سبحانه و تعالى‎ (subha wa ta`ala)? Have you repented for your sins? For this temporary life we have given up eternal bliss and eternal happiness, a life which never ends. My dear brothers and sisters, even if the hereafter was soil & mud and this dunya was gold & silver, - still the hereafter would be better than this dunya, because it is eternal! But reality is, this dunya is soil & mud and the hereafter is gold & silver and yet...we choose this life over the next. Are we asleep? Why are we walking around like headless chicken?

We will be brought to account when on that day, when everyone is a stranger to another, when your own best friend in this dunya will be a stranger to you in the next, when your own mother is going to abandon you just to save herself.

The day, when every small action that you ever did you will be shown - every atom weight of good and every atom weight of evil. My dear brothers and sisters, this is the promised day of Allah سبحانه و تعالى‎ , doesn`t your heart tremble with fear knowing that you will be brought to account? And how you will die thats how you will be raised.

That day when a child`s hair will turn grey due to the shock and fear, what will be your excuse on that day? When your limbs, your own legs are going to give witness against you; when your lips are going to be sealed and your legs are going to speak and say, 'Ya Allah!, he made me walk to this haram.' And your own hands are going to say, 'Ya Allah!, he used me to touch this haram.' On that my dear brothers and sisters, there is no refuge except with Allah سبحانه و تعالى‎ .

There is no escape, so take heed before your time is up. Ask Allah to make us among the Saabikun, a group of people who race each other to good deeds and these people will be closest to Allah سبحانه و تعالى‎ in the next life.

Every soul shall taste death and given their share on Qiyamah (Judgment Day)

Every soul will taste death, and you will only be given your [full] compensation on the Day of Resurrection. So he who is drawn away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise has attained [his desire]. And what is the life of this world except the enjoyment of delusion. [Sura Al-Imran 3:185]
