Prayer to my Lord - hear my cries

http://loveandshowhateandhide.tumblr.com
Ya Wadud! ~ Oh Beloved, make the veils on my heart to vanish, hear my cry and open my heart with Your Light. Oh You Who loves those whose hearts are broken for Your sake ~ You are Allah, Our Lord.

Never have I felt this alone, this vast emptiness, this distant, a cast off with mortal danger at every turn from the very people you give your heart out to. It is a shame, the very same people instigate, mitigate, slander & plot against you for your downfall when in fact you pray for all their well-being. It is the selfish nature of man to always receive and receive but never to give one iota. Truly as the great Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, we are certainly the ghuraba (the strangers) to the disbelievers, so we must distance our selves from the rest.

As Ibrahim al-Nakha`i said, “Those who were destroyed before you were destroyed due to three traits – excess in speech, excess in food, and excess in sleep.” - RSA

The Ghuraba (the Strangers) - Khalid Yasin

The Prophet (pbuh) said,"Islam began as something strange (ghuraba), and it shall return to being something strange, so give glad tidings to the strangers." [Saheeh Muslim]

"Today, we have become so distant from Islam that the way in which the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wasallam) did some things appears strange to us. Everybody else’s lifestyle will have become so contrary to Allah's wishes. Even people who welcome Islam in their lives, find Muslims behaving strangely, which on further investigation turns about to be the recommended behaviour in Islam. So we should not shy from being perceived as strange." [Muhammad Abdul Jabbar]

Glad tidings to the 'Strangers' (hadith)

posted by:
*Beautiful Hadith - Glad tidings to Strangers

Rasul Allah Muhammad (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Islam initiated as something strange, and it will revert to its (old position) of being strange. So, glad tidings to the stranger!” [Muslim]  It was asked, "Who are those strangers, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "Those that correct the people when they become corrupt." [Reported by Abu Amr al-Dani, from the hadith of ibn Masoud. It is authentic according to al-Albani. -[edited]

Today, we have become so distant from Islam that the way in which the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wasallam) did some things appears strange to us. Everybody else’s lifestyle will have become so contrary to Allah's wishes. Even people who welcome Islam in their lives, find Muslims behaving strangely, which on further investigation turns about to be the recommended behaviour in Islam. So we should not shy from being perceived as strange.
