For how long will you chase this dunya?

For how long will you busy in your heads and your minds - thinking of dunya (this world), chasing the endless materialistic things?...

Allah says, 'For how long will you chase these worldly things with each other? Competing with one another? Until you visit the grave? For how long is the dunya going to keep you away from me - in your mind, in your hearts? Wait till I get you in the grave.'

Sura Takathur contains heavy verses for you and I, will Allah get us in the grave? Are we going to him happy?

All the things of the dunya you and I chase - USELESS will it be when we come to the grave, it will not benefit us one iota.

Let this be a stern warning to the people, the Muslims and my family members(you know who you are) who drown themselves into the vices of this dunya as if no tomorrow exists nor the hereafter. Your houses, wealth, status will not help you one bit in the grave nor the afterlife. You will certainly have to account for every single penny and material Allah bestowed upon you and account for them. Where will your dominance, arrogance, enmity, jealousy be in the grave or that fateful day when we stand trial in front of our Lord? There will be no respite, but there is still time while possible, use it for good.

The dirty truth to this dunya

Today we are caught up so much in this dunya we forget that one day we are going to be under the ground, and who knows that day could be tomorrow, Brother Jalal ibn Saeed gives a inspiring talk at a Janzah of a brother, he explains that in reality the purpose of the Janazah is not for the deceased but for those who attend the Janazah for them to wake up and realise we too will be in the grave sooner or later.

May Allah make the grave a garden of Paradise for all of us.

Prayer to my Lord - hear my cries

http://loveandshowhateandhide.tumblr.com
Ya Wadud! ~ Oh Beloved, make the veils on my heart to vanish, hear my cry and open my heart with Your Light. Oh You Who loves those whose hearts are broken for Your sake ~ You are Allah, Our Lord.

Never have I felt this alone, this vast emptiness, this distant, a cast off with mortal danger at every turn from the very people you give your heart out to. It is a shame, the very same people instigate, mitigate, slander & plot against you for your downfall when in fact you pray for all their well-being. It is the selfish nature of man to always receive and receive but never to give one iota. Truly as the great Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, we are certainly the ghuraba (the strangers) to the disbelievers, so we must distance our selves from the rest.

As Ibrahim al-Nakha`i said, “Those who were destroyed before you were destroyed due to three traits – excess in speech, excess in food, and excess in sleep.” - RSA
