The futility in seeking the love & affection from your loved ones

The idea of attaining one`s love, recognition or even the slightest amount of affection is very un-forthcoming from the very people you seek it from. In the end it seems futile. No matter what you say or do, it won`t matter or change one iota in your favor. Even if you have to move mountains and earth, from capturing lightening from Mount Olympus or to diving to the deepest seas to get the fabled pearl, it won`t matter one bit to the very people you seek approval from.

After its all said and done, even the slightest amount of love or even a smile would fill the heart with such joy that would transcend boundaries. People like us a rare breed, where we think simply and see the world for what it is and an optimist who always wants and the wishes the best for all. In return all we ask for is respect and recognition of who we are and what we do, it is all a selfless and thankless act for the betterment of people end of the day. A thankless job at heart and nevertheless people never know the whole truth and lengths we go in making things happen for them, keeping them safe and wishing them well - they`ll never know how much they are truly loved. 

But now, I realize it is futile for attaining people`s will and affection. For all you do, it will never soften their stone-hardened heart. We are only mere tools for them to use and discarded after the use has been sufficed. Only their pre-occupations with the worldly distractions keep them shielded from reality and oblivious to the outside world and to peoples feelings. But rest assured we will continue to do the things we do in secret and wish for the well-being of everyone as we already do.  

For in the end, its fruitless to seeks ones approval, to seek ones recognition and respect, to seek ones love and heart. Living your life by other peoples standards, practices and wishes will accomplish nothing and erase your own self-identity. Rather aspiring to be like someone or copying their customs, be unique and a trailblazer by making your own choices and destiny.

Morality and respect are waning in our society now and will only deteriorate until the end time nears. The constant bickering, trickery, back-biting, delving into things of no help or importance as well as the loss of morality especially in our loved ones is ever increasing and not becoming of our character in society.

Only time will tell the complete story how the end will play out...

    awww, melancoly but to the point, don`t worry rubaiat, ppl like us are always treated like that especially by our loved ones, its truly a thankless service to the world, but if it weren`t for ppl like us, the world would be a very different place than we currently know it

      Yea thanks I know, I just was so frustrated that I had to put it into words. Don`t get me wrong, I loved doing the work behind the scenes but sometimes the ppl you do it for just doesn`t give 2 cents worth even if they directly know it or not. I don`t expect them too but sometimes its just too much.

      The thing that gets me especially is the back-biting, you`re sitting right there and in front of you they are ripping you apart or making fun, insulting or cursing you, all the while they think you don`t realize anything but actually we do.

      ahhh, its just so bizarre sometimes in the times we live now.

      ahhh, wish i cud give a pat on the back, but its how we are, we`re only human so of course we`re going to feel like that sometimes.

      dealing with family is tricky, still can`t handle `em. yea you`re right, the back-biting is way too much now, especially with the stupid social media nowadays, where instantly you berate someone or insult them and spread lies about them to the whole world in an instant.

      my fam too, its all about who makes the most money, what car they going to drives, eating out at fancy places, stupid clothes and such, its just too much for me too sometimes. i wish the god `ol days were here where life was so simple and ppl actually cared for another and not so materialistic.

      i share your passion wholeheartedly, just keep continuing what you do best, as you already know - the Lord sees and hears everything so rejoice.

    Oh my dearest Ruby, you should better than others, its the guys who work behind the scenes tirelessly without glory are the real unsung heroes. Only a few possess this quality and is rare among guys nowadays, you`re such a wonderful person I`ve had the pleasure knowing since high school and you`re still the same great person.

    Dido what Rach said, keep on doing what you`re doing cause you`re a humanitarian at heart.

    The moment you start listening to others or try following them according to their wants - you lose your self respect and character, and this the problem in our society now - nobody thinks on their own anymore

      Thanks Rosa, I`m glad to have had and still have a friend like you since high school too, you were always a free thinker and unique.

      I was just going through many emotions, especially in the past 3 weeks now. I think I never cried so much in my entire life than these 3 weeks and out in the open. When you see things so up close and so personal it gets to you and it finally got to me. But nevertheless we need to move on but always remember the events that shape us to keep us straight and even.

    Damn bro, just spewed your heart, but its good though, let it out before it consumes you from the inside. You`re the type of person who keeps stuff inside and never let your emotions out for others to see but need to vent it out time to time.

    You do a lot and destined for greatness. So what people don`t know or care, that`s how people in general are - fed shit and kept in the dark. Only us who see the light will remain on top when its all said and done
