A 6-year-old sent the running back $3.36 and a letter in hopes he’d return to the Giants.
“So, you could go to the Giants, here is my money. Love, Joe,” the letter that his mom sent read.
Jacobs, who signed with the 49ers this offseason, posted a picture on Twitter of the letter and the enclosed cash.
“The kid thought the giants didn't have enough money to bring me back, so he sent me 3.36 cent to come back it was the best ever,” Jacobs wrote of the 6-year-old
The Giants could have had Jacobs back, but for a lot more. They released Jacobs, who they owed $5 million for next year, and opted not to re-sign him.
“I almost cried, I am still trying to hold it in. I may have to pay him a surprise visit,” Jacobs wrote.

i`m a huge jacobs fan as u know rubaiat and the ny giants should have kept him and re-structured his contract. he is not a big bruising back but he can get the job done, its sad to see him go and await to see how the giants respond to the running game now with bradshaw and the new rookies...should be interesting
