Oh the tongue ...
There is no price of flesh more beloved to Allah than a truthful tongue, and there is no piece of flesh more hateful to Allah than a lying tongue. -Fudhayl ibn al-Iyadh via Islam 2011

Watch your tongue: the ignorant person`s heart is behind his tongue ...
“Watch your tongue; Words can cut deeper than a knife, and their memory lingers longer than a scab. The intelligent person’s tongue is behind his heart; when he wants to speak, he thinks first. The ignorant person’s heart is behind his tongue; when he wants to think, he speaks first.”

When afflicted with calamities or dishonor, do we ever ask ourselves are WE to blame for our misdeeds?
As in human nature, when we are blessed with the bounties of this world - in wealth, children, honor..., we say we say 'we have been blessed.' But on the flip side, when we are faced with calamities, dishonor and despair in the world, we immediately rush to judge, blame and scratch our heads as to why the bounties are being taken away and squandered. Little do we ever think of OUR actions - are they just? are they halal? am I being proud and arrogant? am I protecting my tongue by not engaging in idle talk, gossip and backbiting? am I being loving and caring to my family and elders? do I betray the trusts and promises of others? do I disrespect my elders, my older brothers, sisters, family...? am I deceiving and tricking the Lord? am I following the commands of Allah and example of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)?
In the Holy Quran, Allah says:
"But when Allah tries them (the people) through restricting their means of life, then they
say 'Our Rabb has humiliated us!'
Nay! But you did not treat the orphans with kindness and generosity, nor did you
encourage each other in feeding the poor! You devour inheritance (of the weak) with
greed, and you love wealth with much love!...and hell will be brought near (in sight) that
day (Day of Judgment). On that day people will remember (their deeds), but how the
remembrance will avail them? (Surah Al-Fajr 89:16-23)
So, people, please examine yourselves. Change begins from within. Be beacons of example and hope for humanity. Humanity is at the crossroads and have begun the march to the qiyamah (Day of Judgement). There is still time for change and reflection and importantly the praise of the Lord above, who has created us only for a short while in this world. Please I urge you all to act more kindly to your family, and leave the ignorant idle talk and actions that are of no use to you in this life - they only mask and deceive reality.

The Muslim Ummah is not just sleeping but in a deep coma
The Arabic word Ghafla, coming from ghayn-fa-laam ( غ ف ل) explains an illness that is prevalent in many of our hearts today. It gives the meaning of being unmindful, neglectful, heedless, and is many times referred to as an intentional turning away. So in the case of Islaam, what does one turn away from, and what symptoms, causes and losses arise from such a state? -(The Merciful Servant)

Arrogance, the mother of all evils
Arrogance is one of the characteristics of Iblees, so whoever wants to be arrogant should realize that he is acquiring a characteristic of the devils, and that he is not acquiring a characteristic of the noble angels who obeyed their Lord and fell down prostrate. Moreover, arrogance may be the cause of a person being deprived of Paradise and may mean that the Lord of Glory will not even look at him, as it says in the following two ahaadeeth:
It was narrated from 'Abd-Allaah ibn Mas'ood that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "No one who has an atom's-weight of arrogance in his heart will enter Paradise." A man said, "O Messenger of Allaah, what if a man likes his clothes and his shoes to look good?" He said, "Allaah is Beautiful and loves beauty. Arrogance means rejecting the truth and looking down on people."

Those living in ignorant bliss
For those living in this deceiving life, who strive for the bounties of this world as if there in no tomorrow all the while oppressing the very kin next to you, rest assured the pain hurts now but there will be respite for me in the end. Its the end that matters in suit of life. The endless partying, idle talk between the family, plotting and oppressing...what shame have they brought to themselves yet they do not realize they are below cattle in ignorance, not remembering they will join the very departed souls who vanished in front of them (RSA)

The ignorant bliss...Einstein
He who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead; his eyes are closed.~ Albert Einstein

Alas the merriment of this life distorts reality to those who live in ignorance of the past
What ye wonders?...with all the laughter and glitter in this life, not for once reckoning the consequences of thy actions and the passing of souls in ye lives to the delight and merriment of thy world! What sorrow be in store for them and fools they must be to think, this is all the world has to offer? The passing of souls yet to them is one in the same when alive - no difference, no recognition, love nor respect.
Lo! this generation do not ponder the previous generations who have preceeded us, for who perished from the very earth you walk on, boast, be arrogant, live your earthly desires to the fullest. The dead are not remembered anymore, for they are with their Lord and we will follow them soon enough. - RSA

Answering a fool...
Silence...is certainly the best response to a fool or fools in my case. Sometimes, wasting words on them is of no use as they are so ignorant to other people`s feelings. Just let them be and let them live in their own filth - they know who they are...

"...And what is this dunya (life) except the enjoyment of delusion." [Noble Qur`an, 5:20]

Allah the Almighty tells mankind: “Know that the life of this world [dunya] is but amusement, vain talk, adornment, pompous boasting to one another and competition in the increase of wealth and children—like the example of rain (Ghayth) whose [resulting] plant growth pleases the farmers then it dries up and you see it turning yellow, then it becomes scattered debris; But in the Hereafter (there is) a severe torment, and (there is) forgiveness from Allah and (His) pleasure; And what is this life except the enjoyment of delusion” -(Noble Qur`an, Sura Al-Hadeed, 57:20).Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “Be in this life like a stranger or a traveler.” This saying reminds believers that our stay is temporary in this dunya (world) and that we should thus live like travelers, taking only those (good deeds) we need to get to our desired destination—Paradise. Mankind can easily get caught up and lost in this dunya (world) and forget that there is a much bigger reason behind this life. In this sense, the world that we live in is like the Matrix and Islam exposes us to the reality. -(The WakeUp Project)
