I learned something today.
Again.
This is dunya. Dunya. Not a place of ease. Only glitter.
The place where you have to feel cold and hungry.
The place where you have to worry and feel scared.
The place where it gets cold.
So cold, sometimes.
The place where you have to leave the people you love.
Where you can’t get attached, because even if you do, it doesn’t make it stay, it just makes it hurt when it doesn’t.
The place where happiness and sadness are only players, waiting for their next line in a play…

This unrelenting despicable life
It is a real shame one must ask for death to escape this tepidus and despicable life, where everything and everyone around you is so vile in nature that supersedes human comprehension. It is so futile, this life can be so dank with despotism from everyone, especially your so-called loved ones and families. It is the family that is of greatest hindrance in every aspect imaginable. Life is getting so intolerable with so no respite. The word respect is lost in the lips of these individuals who so are regrettably backwards and are below the level of cattle. All they do is follow the ignorant and wallow in their own filth. To them, this life - this world is all pomp and glitter with no distant thought of the afterlife. Their unrelenting disrespect and disregard of human life is up to the boiling point of my life...(RSA)

'I am the Dunya THE LIFE!!' - A beautiful short story

A boy said to his father: "I saw a girl and I want to marry her. She is so beautiful and she has gorgeous eyes. The father answered his son: of course son, let’s ask for her hand in marriage."
When the father saw the girl, he admired her beauty and he told his son: "You don’t deserve this girl, she needs someone who has experience in life and she can depend on, someone like me."
The boy was surprised by the attitude of his father and he told him : "She will marry me, not you”. They started to fight and finally they decided both to go to the police station to solve their problem.
When they tell their story to the police officer, he told them:”bring the girl so we can ask her about her opinion about this. " When the officer saw the beauty of the girl he said to the boy and his father:”you both don’t deserve her, she needs someone who has prestige like me.”
The 3 men started a fight and decided to go to the minister to solve their problem. When the minister saw the girl, he said: "She deserves to be married with a minister like me”. The prince heard about their problem and call them all to help them solve it but and when he saw the girl he said : "This girl will marry me” .
All the 5 men started to fight. Finally, the girl said “I have the solution! I will start to run and whoever catches me first, he will be my husband”. When she started to run, the boy, his father, the police officer, the minister and the prince started to run to catch her. Suddenly the 5 men fell into a deep hole.
The girl looked to them from the top and she said “did you know who am I?”
I am the Dunya THE LIFE!!
People want to run to catch me, they are racing to have me.
By doing that, they forget their religion, until they end up in their grave and won’t have me....

For people who boastfully laugh in this dunya - hadith

02 July 2012 CE | 13 Shaban 1433 AH
Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “If you knew what I know you would laugh a little and cry a lot!"
Once Hasan al-Basri passed by a man who was laughing and asked him: “Oh my nephew! Have you safely passed over the Sirat (bridge over Hell)?” He replied, “No.” Hasan al-Basri asked: “Have you received news whether you will end up in Paradise or Hell?” The man replied that he hadn’t. So Hasan al-Basri asked, “Why do you laugh then, may Allah save you, while the matter ahead is horrifying?” That man was never seen laughing until he died. (But he smiled as this is a part of the Sunnah of the Prophet.) [Al-Hasan Al-Basri p.89, quoted in Silent Moments by Abdul-Malik Al-Qasim]
The horror of Jahannam (hellfire) is such that one look at it will have a man willing even to throw his children, his wife, his brother, his parents, and his entire clan into it if by doing so he can escape himself. We cannot imagine throwing our children into any fire on earth to escape it ourselves, yet this is what people will be doing as a result of just a glance at Jahannum. Fear will make us mindless!
On the Day of Judgment Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) will ask a sinner whether he would like to ransom himself from the Fire by giving equivalent to the weight of the world in gold. The sinner will readily agree to give twice as much. Then Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) will say: Did I not ask you for something much less than this in the world? Only a few sujood, only to make your guest feel welcome, only to say ‘La ilaha ilAllah’? Unfortunately, the most ordinary and easy task seems difficult to us because we don’t see Jahannum before our eyes. But when we do see it with our eyes it will be too late to do anything.

Allah knows the secrets of all hearts...
For those in my family who openly & secretly plot against us and one another, the hypocrites who slander, those who spread rumors and words of ignorance of no worldly use, those who disrespect, hate and idle talk between the cousins and elders, those who are in a trance of this deceiving dunya (this world), rest assured we will be given the full recompense of our actions - be they the smallest of things or large mountains. O Allah we ask you to honor us in time of death...Ameen (RSA)

He knows what is in the heavens and on Earth; and He knows what you conceal and what you reveal: and Allah knows well the secrets of all hearts. [Sura At-Taghabun 64:4]
Whether you hide your word or publish it. He certainly has full knowledge of the secrets of all hearts. He is the One that understands the finest mysteries and is well acquainted with them. [Sura Al-Mulk 67:13-14]

Imagine your time is today, what have you got to take back to Allah سبحانه و تعالى (subha wa ta`ala)? Have you repented for your sins? For this temporary life we have given up eternal bliss and eternal happiness, a life which never ends. My dear brothers and sisters, even if the hereafter was soil & mud and this dunya was gold & silver, - still the hereafter would be better than this dunya, because it is eternal! But reality is, this dunya is soil & mud and the hereafter is gold & silver and yet...we choose this life over the next. Are we asleep? Why are we walking around like headless chicken?
We will be brought to account when on that day, when everyone is a stranger to another, when your own best friend in this dunya will be a stranger to you in the next, when your own mother is going to abandon you just to save herself.
The day, when every small action that you ever did you will be shown - every atom weight of good and every atom weight of evil. My dear brothers and sisters, this is the promised day of Allah سبحانه و تعالى , doesn`t your heart tremble with fear knowing that you will be brought to account? And how you will die thats how you will be raised.
That day when a child`s hair will turn grey due to the shock and fear, what will be your excuse on that day? When your limbs, your own legs are going to give witness against you; when your lips are going to be sealed and your legs are going to speak and say, 'Ya Allah!, he made me walk to this haram.' And your own hands are going to say, 'Ya Allah!, he used me to touch this haram.' On that my dear brothers and sisters, there is no refuge except with Allah سبحانه و تعالى .
There is no escape, so take heed before your time is up. Ask Allah to make us among the Saabikun, a group of people who race each other to good deeds and these people will be closest to Allah سبحانه و تعالى in the next life.

For those 'distracted' by this worldly life
"Who took their religion as distraction and amusement and whom the worldly life deceived them." So today We will forget them just as they forgot the meeting of this Day of theirs and for having rejected Our Ayat (verses). [Sura Al-Araf 7:51]
To those who enrich themselves in this dunya - Sura Al Araf
[ Allah ] said, "Descend, being to one another enemies. And for you on the earth is a place of settlement and enjoyment for a time." He said, "Therein you will live, and therein you will die, and from it you will be brought forth." [Sura Al-Araf 7:24-25]

Alas the merriment of this life distorts reality to those who live in ignorance of the past
What ye wonders?...with all the laughter and glitter in this life, not for once reckoning the consequences of thy actions and the passing of souls in ye lives to the delight and merriment of thy world! What sorrow be in store for them and fools they must be to think, this is all the world has to offer? The passing of souls yet to them is one in the same when alive - no difference, no recognition, love nor respect.
Lo! this generation do not ponder the previous generations who have preceeded us, for who perished from the very earth you walk on, boast, be arrogant, live your earthly desires to the fullest. The dead are not remembered anymore, for they are with their Lord and we will follow them soon enough. - RSA
