The state of this world has come down to, "Me, Myself and I"; We are very selfish

"The world has gone to such a state that we just think about " Me, My self and I" WE ARE VERY SELFISH. Our Muslim brothers are dying all around the world we cannot save them. There is droughts in some countries like our Muslim brothers and sisters in Africa they are struggling, but we sit here doing nothing. There is one thing we can do make dua for them." Shaykh Zahir Mahmood talks about these very good points Inshallah listen in and Inshallah you will benefit.

Those who look on and do nothing: Einstein

"The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing"

Allah knows the secrets of all hearts...

For those in my family who openly & secretly plot against us and one another, the hypocrites who slander, those who spread rumors and words of ignorance of no worldly use, those who disrespect, hate and idle talk between the cousins and elders, those who are in a trance of this deceiving dunya (this world), rest assured we will be given the full recompense of our actions - be they the smallest of things or large mountains. O Allah we ask you to honor us in time of death...Ameen (RSA)

He knows what is in the heavens and on Earth; and He knows what you conceal and what you reveal: and Allah knows well the secrets of all hearts. [Sura At-Taghabun 64:4]

67:13
67:14
Whether you hide your word or publish it. He certainly has full knowledge of the secrets of all hearts. He is the One that understands the finest mysteries and is well acquainted with them. [Sura Al-Mulk 67:13-14]

This world to a believer and disbeliever...

"The world is a prison-house for a believer and Paradise for a non-believer" [Sahih Muslim Book 42, Chapter 1, Number 7058]

Isn`t this the case today...especially to my loved ones, family and friends?

Knowledge of everlasting benefit...useless earthly treasure

Useless Treasure

Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: "Knowledge from which no benefit is derived is like a treasure out of which nothing is spent in the cause of Allah." [Tirmidhi]

One reason that a miser is considered a fool is that he or she does not benefit from what they crave yet possess. Similarly, a person who has been given a lot of wealth but does not purchase Paradise with it is also a fool. Whatever comfort you can buy in the world with your wealth, will nevertheless be taken away from you at your death. If instead, you use your wealth to purchase Jannah, you will have bought the best of luxuries that will never be taken away from you.

By the same token, knowledge of Islam is a treasure that can be utilized to purchase Jannah by bringing one’s feelings and actions in line with what one has learnt. Only then is the knowledge of lasting benefit to the person. A person who is not able to earn Jannah from his/her knowledge of Islam is but a loser. His/her case is comparable to that of the person who has treasure but does not use it to purchase Jannah.

Muhammad (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) is Rehmat-ul-lil-Alameen (mercy for all the worlds) because he showed us how to convert the brief pleasure that life on earth can offer, into everlasting pleasure.

The deception of this dunya (this world)

The Life of this World
by Abu 'Abdir-Rahman Mohammad Navaid Aziz

Hasan al-Basree, may Allah have mercy upon him, had some wise words concerning the dunya when he said:

"So beware of this land (the dunya) that is falling down and is misleading
and deceiving,   being decorated by its deceit and having eluded (others) by
its delusion, and having killed its people with its hopes. It looks forward
with anticipation towards the one who proposes to it for marriage. Hence it
becomes like the unveiled bride - all the eyes are looking towards it, and the
souls are in love with it, and the hearts are captivated by it."
       [Related by Abu Nu'aym in al-Hilyah (2/135-136)]

The Prophet (peace be upon him), being attached to it and living in its luxuries but rather he sacrificed it all with full certainty in that which will come after is better and everlasting. Thus, he said:

"The dunya is cursed. Cursed is all that is in it except for the remembrance
of Allah, and that which resembles it, a scholar, and a student (of
knowledge)." [Related by Tirmidhee, Ibn Maajah, and Bayhaqi. The wording is taken
       from Shaykh al-Albaanee's Sahîh at-Targhîb wat-Tarhîb (1/34)
