Obama touts the Navy SEALS’ raid and killing of Osama bin Laden in his hideaway compound in Abbotabad, Pakistan, as one of, if not the greatest, achievements of his administration. Reportedly, the administration even disclosed details of the raid to Hollywood for an upcoming movie, Zero Dark Thirty, directed by Kathryn Bigelow.

The movie is scheduled to be released — SURPRISE! — on October 12, 2012, within a month of the presidential election.

Joseph Straw reports for the N.Y. Daily News, Aug. 11, 2011, that the CIA defended its collaboration with the maker of Zero Dark Thirty. CIA spokesman Preston Golson said that such collaboration with filmmakers has precedent and is part of the CIA’s “public outreach.” Despite the CIA’s insistence, Congressman Peter King (R-Long Island), chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, has demanded that the Pentagon and CIA inspectors general investigate whether the agencies breached policy in this case, in particular whether the filmmakers saw classified material or got access to personnel working under cover.

Given that, it is  curious, to say the least, that, in response to a Freedom of Information Act request made by the Associated Press, the Pentagon says it has no records — not one photo, not one video, not even an e-mail — of bin Laden’s death.

     Government officials have openly discussed details of the mission [to kill Osama bin 
     Laden] in speeches, interviews and television appearances, but the administration won’t 
     disclose records that would confirm their narrative of that fateful night. The Associated 
     Press asked for files about the raid in more than 20 separate [FOIA] requests, mostly 
     submitted the day after bin Laden’s death.

     The Pentagon told the AP this month it could not locate any photographs or video taken 
     during the raid or showing bin Laden’s body. It also said it could not find any images of bin 
     Laden’s body on the Navy aircraft carrier where the al-Qaida leader’s body was taken.

     The Pentagon said it could not find any death certificate, autopsy report or results of DNA 

     identification tests for bin Laden, or any pre-raid materials discussing how the government 

     planned to dispose of bin Laden’s body if he were killed.

     It said it searched files at the Pentagon, U.S. Special Operations Command in Tampa, 

     Fla., and the Navy command in San Diego that controls the USS Carl Vinson, the aircraft 

     carrier used in the mission.

     The Defense Department told the AP in late February it could not find any emails about   

     the bin Laden mission or his “Geronimo” code name that were sent or received in the year 

     before the raid by William McRaven, the three-star admiral at the Joint Special 

     Operations Command who organized and oversaw the mission. It also could not find any 

     emails from other senior officers who would have been involved in the mission’s planning.

On August 6, 2011, three months after the supposed killing of bin Laden, 22 members of the exact same Navy SEALS Team 6 who had conducted the Abbotabad raid all died in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan.

During a March 20 hearing in Salt Lake City, U.S. District Judge Clark Waddoups described as “astounding” the FBI’s claim that critical video of the 1995 Oklahoma City Bombing had simply gone “missing” – an assertion that buttresses attorney Jesse Trentadue’s belief that the Bureau has spared no effort to cover up critical facts about the atrocity.

Trentadue, whose brother Kenney was murdered by federal agents in Oklahoma shortly after the 1995 terrorist attack, filed a Freedom of Information Act request for surveillance video of Timothy McVeigh parking the truck bomb outside the Murrah Federal Building, and dashcam video of his arrest by a state trooper 90 minutes after the explosion. The FBI claims that these indispensable pieces of evidence regarding what was at the time the worst terrorist act in U.S. history have simply vanished in the tenebrous depths of an official warehouse, much like the Ark of the Covenant was at the end of the first Indiana Jones film. The attorney filed his first FOIA request in December 2006, and the Bureau has done its formidable best to ignore, mislead, misdirect, and otherwise obstruct efforts to produce the records, as it is required to by law.

“The FBI has submitted several declarations from its top records manager to show the agency has searched electronic databases and evidence warehouses without success,” reports the Deseret News of Salt Lake City. “But Waddoups said the declarations lack credibility because they do not include firsthand knowledge or details about who, when, where or how the searches were conducted.”

Blix: US, Israel source most of IAEA allegations (Press TV)

A former chief of the International Atomic Energy Agency has challenged a report delivered by the IAEA in November on Iran’s nuclear activities, pinpointing that the agency receives unverified intelligence, mostly from the US and Israel.

In an exclusive interview with Qatar-based news network, Al Jazeera, on Saturday, Hans Blix stated that the IAEA received information from a variety of sources, mostly from the United States and Israel.

“My view is that they must assess it very carefully and critically because otherwise they can be pulled by their noose,” he asserted.

“I remember from inspections in 2002 and 2003 that there was a famous document that allegedly to be a contract between Iraq and Niger for the import of yellow cake of uranium oxide quoted by [former US] President [George W.] Bush in his State of the Union message. The IAEA had it for one day and concluded that it was a forgery. [Former IAEA head, Mohamed] ElBaradei then announced it was not authentic. That shows how careful you have to be,” Blix stated.

The UN nuclear agency’s current Director General Yukiya Amano issued a report on November 8, accusing Iran of pursuing military objectives in its nuclear energy program.

Iran dismissed the report as “unbalanced, unprofessional, and prepared with political motivation and under political pressure mostly by the United States.”

Tehran argues that, as a signatory to the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and a member of the IAEA, it is entitled to develop and acquire nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.

The IAEA has conducted numerous inspections of Iran's nuclear facilities, but has never found any evidence of diversion in the country's nuclear activities.

Regarding the Western hype over Iran’s Parchin military site, Blix said, “They (the inspectors) have been there several times,” adding, “Parchin is a military site with thousands of buildings. Any country would be reluctant to let international inspectors go anywhere near their military sites.”

“In a way the Iranians have been more open [about their nuclear activities] than most other countries would be,” he added.

Blix also questioned the Israeli warnings of Iran’s bid to build a nuclear bomb, saying according to Tel Aviv, Tehran should have had a nuclear bomb a long time ago.

“If you ask the Israelis, it (the Iranian nuclear bomb) is just around the corner all the time, but they have said that for years, so I think one ought to be a bit cautious about it,” he said.

The former IAEA chief further criticized Tel Aviv’s rhetoric regarding a potential bid to launch a strike on Iran.

"When I hear [Israeli Prime Minister] Netanyahu saying it’s not a question of days or weeks, but also not years, I think that sounds like a terrible threat," he said.

Israel, always vociferous in its accusations against Iran’s nuclear energy program, is itself widely known to possess between 200 and 400 nuclear warheads. Tel Aviv, however, refuses to allow its nuclear facilities to come under international regulatory inspections and rejects all the regulatory international nuclear agreements.

Blix also called on the Western powers to alter their “menacing” and “threatening” attitude toward Iran so that the standoff over Tehran’s nuclear energy program might be resolved.

“Very frequently I think the western world has been unwise in the way they treat Iran. They say that Iran must behave itself as it were a minor they were talking to” Blix said, adding that they should not expect Tehran to "kneel" before them as this is “a hopeless way” of arriving at an agreement.

Blix further called on the Western states to support Iran’s bid to join the World Trade Organization (WTO) and assist the Islamic Republic’s civilian nuclear program.

The former IAEA chief also condemned the assassination of Iranian nuclear scientists, describing such acts as “terrible” and “counterproductive” as they “blur the border between civilians and combatants.”

Colonel Muammar Gaddafi was wanted dead so his secrets would die with him. So insists Mahmoud Jibril, the man who led the NTC uprising to overthrow Colonel Gaddafi’s regime, in an exclusive interview with RT.

“Too many parties who have real interests that Gaddafi doesn’t talk, that he should be silenced forever,” Mahmoud Jibril told RT, specifying he does not know who exactly killed the Colonel – a foreign entity or Libyans.

“I would love to know who was behind [Colonel Gaddafi’s] killing,” he said.

Jibril told RT the former ruler of Libya Colonel Muammar Gaddafi sent too many contradictory messages, trying to buy time and pretending to have a readiness to share power.

Mahmoud Jibril said he regretted Colonel Gaddafi was not taken alive to face trial, but certain powers that may have wanted him to keep silence due to the secrets he knew.

After months of fierce resistance to NTC militia backed by allied NATO forces, Colonel Muammar Gaddafi was captured on October 21, 2011, in his hometown and stronghold of Sirte while trying to escape from encirclement. He was captured alive, but instead of being treated as prisoner of war, interrogated and put on trial, the former ruler of Libya was tortured for several hours and then murdered by a militia mob.

Later, the NTC claimed they never gave an order to kill Colonel Gaddafi. They even stated that at first the former Libyan leader was fatally wounded when a gunfight between his supporters and NTC fighters broke out after his capture.

Thousands have taken to the streets of the Syrian capital Damascus to support the country’s embattled leader Bashar al-Assad. The demonstration comes on the year anniversary of the anti-Assad uprising that has left scores dead and injured.

The pro-Assad rally is taking place under the slogan of protesting a ‘one-year conspiracy’ to overthrow the regime. The opposition said that Assad has forced people to attend the Damascus demonstration in order to overshadow the opposition rallies marking the beginning of the popular uprising in Syria a year ago, AP reports.

Video footage, however, shows people of different ages, including children, dancing and waving Syrian flags. Others had the national flag painted on their faces.
With opposition rallies planned all over Syria and abroad, local activists report the increased presence of the Syrian army in opposition strongholds.

The Popular uprising in Syria against the current regime started in mid-March last year. According to the UN, 7,500 people have been killed in the conflict.

While western states urge President Assad to leave his post, he claims the foreign-directed opposition is filled with terrorists and gangsters seeking to destroy Syria.

Political analyst Christoph Horstel, who was at the rally in Damascus, told RT that those who are still choosing violence over dialogue aren’t really interested in a Syrian democracy.

“It is very clear that anybody who is now picking up arms against this government, which obviously has indulged in honest reform and election, these people are not serious about constructive internal dialogue in Syria, that is quite clear. They are not part of a process, they are just killers”, Horstel said.

'Opposition losing supporters'

There are many circumstances serving to increase Assad’s popularity while weakening the opposition, says Middle East expert Ali Rizk. He believes there is no choice for Assad's international opponents but to resort to some kind of political solution to the crisis.

“Because of the procedures, because of the practices which some of the opposition resorted to, they have lost a lot of their supporters,” Rizk said. “When you see Syrian opposition figures speaking about for example cutting off ties, or decreasing their ties with Iran, cutting Syria off what we refer to as ‘a resistance axis,’ I think all that does, it gives more popularity to the Syrian regime.”

“The Syrian people are known to be people who very much support the anti-Israeli approach, a political stance which Assad has used,” he added. “And I think that is the main source of his popularity.”

Assad still has enough support not only in Damascus but in the rest of the country as well, and that will allow him to stay in power, at least for some time, political analyst Ahmed Badawi told RT.

“Assad seems to still have considerable support everywhere, except of course in the places that have come under heavy fire from his military,” he said. “The whole legitimacy question of course is a big dilemma for the regime, but it seems so far that the regime has managed to keep a lot of its legitimacy intact.”

OKLAHOMA CITY – Within hours of learning Davy Jones of the Monkees had died of a heart attack, my Red Dirt Report colleague Ted Smith called and told me someone else had died – fiery conservative blogger and "New Media" king Andrew Breitbart.

Learning of Breitbart's death was a real shock. Here was a guy who was just 43, a couple of years older than me, and he was dead – allegedly of “natural causes.” The guy had a wife and kids. It was all so sad. A brash voice for honesty in government and in the media had been silenced, but unlikely to be forgotten.

So, natural causes, eh? Where have we heard that one before? They are pushing the fact that he had health problem - his heart? - and that he had been walking near his Los Angeles home at around midnight when he collapsed and was pronounced dead upon arriving at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.

As I took this information in, after Smith's call, I felt a little frustrated. I was on an RV in Shawnee, Okla. interviewing Democratic/pro-life insurgent presidential candidate Randall Terry (my Norman Transcript article on Terry is here). I didn’t have immediate access to my computer and my iPhone was nearly dead. I had forgotten to charge it. I was anxious to find out more about what had happened.

Once I got back to RDR headquarters I learned more. But Andrew Breitbart?!? It just didn’t seem possible. I had just seen him in giving a passionate interview on a TV show a week or so ago. He looked well. Heart problems?

I last spoke with Breitbart in early 2010, soon after I took on my gig with Oklahoma Watchdog. He was a very cordial person but I could tell he was multi-tasking as he talked to me. He wanted me to come on as a reporter at BigGovernment.com after learning of Red Dirt Report’s exposure of that trashed ACORN office we discovered in south Oklahoma City right before the 2008 election.

Breitbart told me that I would be smart in taking on a writing job with BigGovernment.com. He told me my work would be seen and read on radio shows like Rush Limbaugh and Laura Ingraham. He was really selling me on this writing gig. It was a very tempting offer and I was very flattered that he was impressed enough by my ACORN investigative series to offer me a job. I certainly admired his work and his “Big” websites and I liked his media-savvy style. Plus, he was a fan of “1st Wave” on SiriusXM satellite radio. The guy liked good 80’s New Wave music, including the goth music "Dark Wave" show.

But, because of my new gig with Oklahoma Watchdog I decided to be loyal to that position. We exchanged an email or two but never reestablished a connection with Breitbart and I can tell why – he was constantly going and going and going. I still emailed him most of my work and I still did get some of my stuff posted on BigGovernment.com and BigJournalism.com and was pleased about that. I liked it that Breitbart recognized what other bloggers were contributing to the media landscape. He saw that Red Dirt Report, Oklahoma Watchdog and countless other keyboard warriors were trying to expose entrenched politicians, corrupt goverment officials and Alinsky-ite radicals like Obama and his "Hope and Change" shock troops. It was often hard and thankless but knowing Breitbart was out there was comforting. Plus, you knew Breitbart and his "Big" sites had it in for Obama and his agenda. Breitbart and conservative/libertarian/freethinking bloggers were largely on the same page and the "Old Media" was clearly frightened.

As we all know, Breitbart did not shy away from controversy. He spoke his mind and would defend people like James O'Keefe and the pimp/prostitute stunt. He understood what got the attention of the media and that and other "stunts" attracted attention and exposed what organizations like ACORN were really up to.

Note this interview Matt Lewis (now with The Daily Caller) did with Breitbart when he was writing for Politics Daily. This was during the period when there was a lot of hubbub about the Shirley Sherrod video and the liberal reporter JournoList scandal.

So, conveniently when Breitbart is at the top of his game, when he was working on some big, new projects, and is a conservative hero, he suddenly dies.

It immediately brought to mind the "tapes" he said he had of Obama's early years - college and political, from the sound of it - and how damaging they would be. He made these statements as he spoke last month at the Conservative Political Action Committee (CPAC) in Washington.

Said Breitbart (via Mediaite.com): “The videos are going to come out, the narrative is going to come out, that Barack Obama met a bunch of silver ponytails in the 1980s, like Bill (Ayers) and Bernadine (Dohrn), who said one day we would have the presidency, and the rest of us slept as they plotted, and they plotted, and they plotted and they oversaw hundreds of millions of dollars in the Annenberg Challenge and they had real money, from real capitalists. Then they became communists. We got to work on that. That is a parenthesis. Barack Obama is a radical, we should not be afraid to say that! Okay? And Barack Obama was launched from Bill and Bernadine’s salon. I’ve been there.”

Breitbart got some press during his time at CPAC, telling Occupy protesters to “stop raping people” and yelling “behave yourself! Behave yourself!” like a father talking to a child. He let the Occupiers have it, screaming at them: "Filthy freaks! “You're freaks and animals!" It's a little startling to watch. He was like a mad dog. The Occupiers, at the end of the video, seemed a little startled by their encounter with Breitbart.

But Breitbart was unapologetic about being a conservative and letting others know about it. He loved individualism and despised collectivism. He saw Occupy as a bunch of spoiled kids and ineffectual liberal jerkoffs buying into the dead-end street of collectivism.

Breitbart knew he was a major target and that his enemies were numerous as he went after various liberal/left outfits like ACORN, Planned Parenthood and others. In 2010, in a Politico article, he said, "I am public enemy No. 1 or 2 to the Democratic Party, the progressive movement and the Obama administration based upon the successes my journalism has had."

I read and reviewed Breitbart's book Righteous Indignation last year. It was a great autobiography and gave an overview of his life in California, becoming a "default liberal," partying it up while a college student at Tulane, and then discovering the Internet and the Drudge Report. He would go on to help Drudge and help start up the influential Huffington Post.

Conservative radio talk-show host Sean Hannity told his listeners today that people on Twitter and blogs should refrain from spreading “conspiracy theories” about Breitbart and the nature of his death. He said he knew for a fact that Breitbart had “heart problems” and that he lived his life at “100 miles an hour.” That's one man's opinion. A lot of people out there, from reading threads and Twitter, is that folks are far more suspicious.

Hannity also featured Breitbart friend Stephen Bannon who told Hannity and his audience that "about a year ago, Andrew had some heart issues, was short of breath." As a result, they moved his office closer to his home. And that indeed may be true. Davy Jones is reported to have had a heart attack yesterday. It happens. But was this alleged heart condition that serious. Why was he out walking around at midnight. We hope all this information comes out and that the Obama tapes are not "disappeared," "destroyed" or "erased." Especially as we see the heat rising on Obama as Maricopa County, Ariz. Sheriff Joe Arpaio releases his report about Obama's eligibility and questions about his background. His report is saying Obama's birth certificate is a "computer-generated forgery." Wow!

And, at the same time, I learn of Breitbart's death while interviewing Randall Terry, the Operation Rescue founder and anti-abortion leader who hopes to defeat Obama by taking away votes either as a Democrat or independent, depending on the swing states he qualifies in. But with so much voter fraud rampant, who knows what will happen.

And, as is usually the case (think heroic OKC Police Officer Terry Yeakey or investigative reporter Gary Webb), the media reports the suicide/natural cause story. And friends are put forward to say "Oh, they were suicidal and only told me about it." Yeah, sure.

Breitbart friend Steve Bannon spoke to Hannity today and said he was aware of Breitbart's health problems: “About a year ago, Andrew had some heart issues, was short of breath.”

I still can't ignore the thought that something more sinister took place.

With so many hundreds of millions of dollars being spent to support Obama’s re-election campaign, a lot is at stake – a lot! And with Breitbart – a major target for the left – shouting it from the rooftops that he was going to be releasing these tapes? And yet the media is jumping to the conclusion that Breitbart died of natural causes before an autopsy is conducted. It's like Deborah "DC Madam" Palfrey committing "suicide" in 2008 after it was exposed that her escort service had included clients like Vice-President Dick Cheney and U.S. Sen. David Vitter (R-La.). 

I was asked to talk about Breitbart on The Alex Jones Show today. I told Jones and his massive audience that I admired Breitbart and his work and passion but that I also thought there is a chance he may have been murdered. I hated to think that, but knowing what an influential voice Breitbart had, it's hard not to think that was the case, just as U.S. Sen. Paul Wellstone (D-Minn.) was a big anti-war voice and died saying he was not going to support the upcoming invasion of Iraq.

Will we see the tapes? Maybe some? Maybe all? The timing just seems way too coincidental. Alex Jones said he found it curious that Breitbart was talking so much about the tapes. Jones said Breitbart thought he was "bulletproof." He also noted that there seems to be a "purge" of true conservative/libertarian media figures like Judge Andrew Napolitano and his excellent Freedom Watch show. Again, it's all a little curious.

“My gut is telling me they killed Andrew Breitbart,” Alex Jones said on his show today. Sadly, I agree with him.

Soros, Media Matters and the so-called “liberal” side of the establishment media can now breathe a sigh of relief – one of their most vexatious enemies has shuffled off the mortal coil.
Andrew Breitbart is dead at the age of 43.

He collapsed near his house in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles shortly after midnight Thursday. Breitbart had suffered heart problems a year earlier, according to his father-in-law Orson Bean. Breitbart is survived by his wife Susannah Bean Breitbart, 41, and four children.

Breitbart was responsible for a number of journalistic controversies, including the outing of New York Representative Anthony Weiner, who Twittered sexually explicit photos. He was also involved in the 2009 ACORN video scandal and released two short videos showing racist excerpts of a speech made by Shirley Sherrod at an NAACP fundraising dinner in March 2010.
He was a thorn in the side of both the Democrat and Republican establishment. Breitbart outraged dyed-in-the-wool Republicans when in 2011 he was the primary host of a party that served to "welcome" the gay group GOProud or the "homocons" to the Conservative Political Action Conference.

Media trailblazer Andrew Breitbart, who single-handedly declared war on the establishment left and won numerous political battles, unexpectedly died this early morning in his Los Angeles home aged 43.



Breitbart’s untimely death has shocked the media world and left some to question whether or not damning footage of Obama in his youth, which Breitbart announced he had obtained only last month, will still be released.

According to some observers, the footage threatened to sink Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign.

“I’ve got video from his college days that show you why racial division and class warfare are central to what hope and change was sold in 2008 – the videos are going to come out,” Breitbart told a crowd during a CPAC speech in February, adding that the video shows Obama meeting “a bunch of silver pony tails” like Bill and Bernardine Dohrn (Weather Underground members), who radicalized him.

Breitbart was probably best known for his role in exposing ACORN, a community-based organization with links to the Democratic Party, with the release of undercover videos showing ACORN workers advising people how to hide evidence of prostitution and commit tax evasion.
In recent years, Breitbart became known as a fearless conservative activist, confronting leftist media elites and publicly taking Obama supporters to task.

When placing Breitbart’s tragic early death in the context of the media landscape, it becomes clear that today’s news, allied with James Murdoch’s exit from the UK in the aftermath of the phone hacking scandal, will leave major gaps in the ongoing media tug of war between Rupert Murdoch and George Soros.

Writing that Breitbart was a “happy warrior” whose fight will live on, Big Hollywood carried text Breitbart recently wrote a new conclusion to his book, Righteous Indignation.
