Ayers family BOMBSHELL on Obama, Postman says Ayers’ parents put ‘foreign student’ Obama through school

WND EXCLUSIVE: POSTMAN: AYERS FAMILY PUT 'FOREIGNER' OBAMA THROUGH SCHOOL
Claims he met young Barack who boasted he'd someday be president

WND
by JEROME R. CORSI
March 19, 2012

CHICAGO – Did the parents of former Weather Underground terrorist Bill Ayers help finance Barack Obama’s Harvard education?

Did Ayers’ mother believe Obama was a foreign student?

And was the young Obama convinced at the time – long before he even entered politics – that he was going to become president of the United States?

A retired U.S. Postal Service carrier who delivered mail to Tom and Mary Ayers in a Chicago suburb in the late 1980s and early 1990s and claims to have met Obama in front of the Ayers home emphatically says yes to all three questions.

Allen Hulton, who was commended for 39 years of honorable service with the USPS, has given a sworn affidavit to investigators commissioned by Maricopa County, Ariz., Sheriff Joe Arpaio to determine whether Obama is eligible for Arizona’s 2012 election ballot. Hulton has recorded about three hours of video interviews with WND.

Hulton says that in conversations with Mary Ayers while on his route he learned of the couple’s enthusiasm and support for a black foreign student. One bright, warm Chicagoland day, he recounts, he met the student who fit Mary Ayers’ description in front of the Ayers home in Glen Ellyn, Ill. That young man, Hulton is convinced, was Barack Obama.

...,Obama’s relationship with Bill Ayers – whom he dismissed in a 2008 debate as “just a guy who lives in my neighborhood” – plagued him in the 2008 presidential campaign and could resurface in this year’s election, as many questions remain.

Evidence exists proving Gaddafi gave €50 million to Sarzozy`s 2007 election campaign...but France led the charge to topple Gaddafi...hmm so what happened?

Gaddafi 'contributed €50m to Sarkozy's 2007 presidential election fund'

French president hit by new claims as confidential note suggests ex-Libyan leader helped finance his election campaign

Damaging new claims have emerged about the funding of Nicolas Sarkozy's 2007 election campaign and his links with former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi emerged.

The French investigative website Mediapart claims to have seen a confidential note suggesting Gaddafi contributed up to €50m (£42m) to Sarkozy's election fund five years ago.

Similar allegations emerged a year ago when Gaddafi's son Saif al-Islam claimed Libya helped finance the 2007 campaign and demanded the French president, who led the war on the Libyan leader, return the money.

In an interview with the Euronews TV channel, Saif al-Islam, who is currently being held in Libya after his father's defeat and death, threatened to make details of the bank transfers public after the French leader threw his weight behind opposition forces.

The latest allegations come at a crucial time for Sarkozy who is seeking a second term in office in a two-round election in under six weeks.

Mediapart journalist Fabrice Arfi told the Guardian he had seen leaked documents contained in the legal dossier of the affair, currently under investigation by a judge.

"We knew these documents existed but it is the first time we have had the details of what was in them," he said.

"And there are lots of details, including dates, places and amounts."

One document, a government briefing note, allegedly points to visits to Libya by Sarkozy and his close colleagues and advisers, which it says were aimed at securing campaign funding.

Shortly after Sarkozy's election, Colonel Gaddafi was invited to Paris and allowed to pitch his bedouin tent in the grounds of an official French residence close to the Elysée Palace. He was described as the "Brother Leader" by the French.

When previously asked about Saif al-Islam's claims, a spokesman for the Elysée Palace told Le Monde: "We deny it, quite evidently."

Yeah...,we are addicted to WAR

US: Turning war-fear into warfare
RT NEWS
Published: 10 March, 2012, 11:49

Ever since its creation, the US has had a role to play in combat operations worldwide. Today the country’s public opinion is dominated by warfare, making American society all-too-easily manipulated and turned against practically any country.
The US has a strong record of persuading the public that war is the only way. A military industrial complex worth billions of dollars is largely America’s driving force. Deeply rooted in the system, it would serve no purpose if there was no one to fight.

If there were no more enemies left, there would be a loss of a sense of mission,” anti-war activist and journalist Don Bebar told RT.

Serving Americans are on permanent stand-by to deploy to battle zones on command.
The US army flag has 183 campaign ribbons on it. Those 183 ribbons each represent wars,” Iraq war veteran Matthis Chiroux from New York shared with RT.

When you compare that to the 236 years that we’ve actually been around as a country, you’re talking about a war on average of once every year and three months,” he calculated. As a consequence of the American bellicosity in general, Matthis Chiroux is now soothing his nerves in company with 170,000 American soldiers suffering from post traumatic stress disorder.

The US always has a bone to pick with one enemy after another. For nearly half a century it was the Soviet Union.

The communist threat was the most useful enemy. Where legitimate, and where completely fantastical, it was always available as a global conspiracy against which to justify anything,” Roots Action campaigner David Swanson told RT.

With the Cold War declared over, the list keeps expanding to smaller antagonists.
So it was with Saddam Hussein’s Iraq in 1991, when then President George H. W. Bush Sr. announced that “Allied forces began an attack on military targets in Iraq and Kuwait.”
Or with the former Yugoslavia, to which former President Bill Clinton signed a sentence in 1999 by announcing that the American Air Force was conducting “Air strikes against Serbian forces.”

Then it was ex-President George W. Bush, who was let off the leash after 9/11 terror attacks and announced a global War on Terror symbolized by Al-Qaeda. He started by invading Afghanistan in 2001 and continued with the invasion of Iraq in 2003.

In 2003, the US Air Force was “Striking selective targets of military importance to undermine Saddam Hussein’s ability to wage war,” announced George W. Bush, meaning that waging wars is an exclusive privilege of the chosen mighty ones.

Ultimately, it has been current President Barack Obama, who was elected on promises to end wars, but now looks forward to military conflict with Iran after lending a hand in toppling the regime of Colonel Muammar Gaddafi in Libya. As in previous cases, last spring he made a characteristic “We hit Gaddafi’s air defenses” statement on the American TV.

With a defense budget that surpasses the military expenditure of all other countries combined, no other nation drums up war as consistently as America.

While people are still responding and recovering from the violence that’s been committed in one place, or even in the same place, we’re launching new operations and more atrocities in different parts of the world,” acknowledged war correspondent Keith Harmon Snow.

So Fox News cannot but reiterate that Iran is the biggest threat, Syria is a minor threat, Russia is a traditional threat and China is an emerging threat.

That makes America's top brass state that a strike on Tehran is in the planning stages.
It also makes the US President Obama latest quest for diplomacy with Iran over its nuclear program look derisive in the face of a pending military confrontation.

Year in, year out, Americans are convinced that the US has to remain on the defensive.
We’re petrified of death by terrorism. Shoot, I think a lot of Americans wish we’d spend more money on war,” veteran Matthis Chiroux confessed.

Finding the next target is never difficult.

Campaigner David Swanson says “We are inventing the nation of Iran as an enemy, as a threat to the United States, as a possessor of nuclear weapons it does not possess, a nation that has not attacked another in literally centuries, and has no capability or desire to attack ours.

RT's Anastasia Churkina asked people on the streets of New York “Which country is the US going to be in a war with next?”

The most common answer she got was “Iran.”

The US has been picking and choosing which countries to intervene in for centuries. As the list of nations the US loves to hate expands, the concept that no war at all is also an option seems to have been forgotten.

The US Air Force’s highly secret robotic space plane continues to circle our planet a year after being launched, with no authoritative version of the shadowy mission purpose presented to public.

Since the original test mission of the first X-37B Orbital Test Vehicle One (OTV-1) that was performed in April 2010 and lasted the promised 270 days, the US Air Force has been insisting the X-37 program is a purely scientific undertaking and a testing platform of new technology.

Very little has been revealed about the spacecraft. The only information available on the successive OTV-2 mission launched on March 5, 2011, with an Atlas 5 booster rocket from the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida is that the space plane is an 8.8-meter- long and 4.5-meter-wide solar-powered vehicle.

The experimental spacecraft was supposed to return to an airstrip in California nine months later in December – but that never happened.

In the meantime, a third X-37B space plane mission is being prepared with a launch possibly going to be performed before the end of this year.

From the very beginning space enthusiasts have been proposing different versions of what the spacecraft is supposed to do while circling the planet at declared orbits varying from 200 to 750 kilometers above the Earth’s surface.

The initial idea has been that the spacecraft is a new type of a surveillance satellite that can change orbits to fly above the desired territory on Earth. This version has had a go because the craft did fly over Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, North Korea and Pakistan and changed orbits not once.

Breitbart death conspiracy continued (The Obama Tapes)

Breitbart’s Footage Shows Obama ‘Palling Around’ With Terrorists
Obama’s Weather Underground friends wanted Communist dictatorship set up in America

The footage that Andrew Breitbart planned to release just hours after his untimely death would have proven hugely damaging to President Obama’s re-election hopes, because it shows Obama fraternizing with Weather Underground terrorists whose goal it was to set up a Communist dictatorship inside the United States.

According to former FBI agent Larry Grathwohl, who was assigned to infiltrate the Weather Underground’s Central Committee, the organization run by Bill Ayers carried out bombings targeting the Pentagon, the State Department, as well as police stations and federal buildings, in an attempt to cause the United States government to collapse and open the door for Cuban, North Vietnamese, Chinese and Russian troops to occupy the country.

Grathwohl stated that Ayers and his group planned to deal with Americans who would try to resist this takeover by “establishing re-education centers in the south-west”. Asked what he would do with those who still refused to...

CONSPIRACY: Andrew Breitbart dead at 43 (continued, updated)

Andrew Breitbart, dead at 43, was to release explosive tapes featuring Obama

COMMENTARY
OKLAHOMA CITY – Within hours of learning Davy Jones of the Monkees had died of a heart attack, my Red Dirt Report colleague Ted Smith called and told me someone else had died – fiery conservative blogger and "New Media" king Andrew Breitbart.

Learning of Breitbart's death was a real shock. Here was a guy who was just 43, a couple of years older than me, and he was dead – allegedly of “natural causes.” The guy had a wife and kids. It was all so sad. A brash voice for honesty in government and in the media had been silenced, but unlikely to be forgotten.

So, natural causes, eh? Where have we heard that one before? They are pushing the fact that he had health problem - his heart? - and that he had been walking near his Los Angeles home at around midnight when he collapsed and was pronounced dead upon arriving at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.

As I took this information in, after Smith's call, I felt a little frustrated. I was on an RV in Shawnee, Okla. interviewing Democratic/pro-life insurgent presidential candidate Randall Terry (my Norman Transcript article on Terry is here). I didn’t have immediate access to my computer and my iPhone was nearly dead. I had forgotten to charge it. I was anxious to find out more about what had happened.

Once I got back to RDR headquarters I learned more. But Andrew Breitbart?!? It just didn’t seem possible. I had just seen him in giving a passionate interview on a TV show a week or so ago. He looked well. Heart problems?

I last spoke with Breitbart in early 2010, soon after I took on my gig with Oklahoma Watchdog. He was a very cordial person but I could tell he was multi-tasking as he talked to me. He wanted me to come on as a reporter at BigGovernment.com after learning of Red Dirt Report’s exposure of that trashed ACORN office we discovered in south Oklahoma City right before the 2008 election.

Breitbart told me that I would be smart in taking on a writing job with BigGovernment.com. He told me my work would be seen and read on radio shows like Rush Limbaugh and Laura Ingraham. He was really selling me on this writing gig. It was a very tempting offer and I was very flattered that he was impressed enough by my ACORN investigative series to offer me a job. I certainly admired his work and his “Big” websites and I liked his media-savvy style. Plus, he was a fan of “1st Wave” on SiriusXM satellite radio. The guy liked good 80’s New Wave music, including the goth music "Dark Wave" show.

But, because of my new gig with Oklahoma Watchdog I decided to be loyal to that position. We exchanged an email or two but never reestablished a connection with Breitbart and I can tell why – he was constantly going and going and going. I still emailed him most of my work and I still did get some of my stuff posted on BigGovernment.com and BigJournalism.com and was pleased about that. I liked it that Breitbart recognized what other bloggers were contributing to the media landscape. He saw that Red Dirt Report, Oklahoma Watchdog and countless other keyboard warriors were trying to expose entrenched politicians, corrupt goverment officials and Alinsky-ite radicals like Obama and his "Hope and Change" shock troops. It was often hard and thankless but knowing Breitbart was out there was comforting. Plus, you knew Breitbart and his "Big" sites had it in for Obama and his agenda. Breitbart and conservative/libertarian/freethinking bloggers were largely on the same page and the "Old Media" was clearly frightened.

As we all know, Breitbart did not shy away from controversy. He spoke his mind and would defend people like James O'Keefe and the pimp/prostitute stunt. He understood what got the attention of the media and that and other "stunts" attracted attention and exposed what organizations like ACORN were really up to.

Note this interview Matt Lewis (now with The Daily Caller) did with Breitbart when he was writing for Politics Daily. This was during the period when there was a lot of hubbub about the Shirley Sherrod video and the liberal reporter JournoList scandal.

So, conveniently when Breitbart is at the top of his game, when he was working on some big, new projects, and is a conservative hero, he suddenly dies.

It immediately brought to mind the "tapes" he said he had of Obama's early years - college and political, from the sound of it - and how damaging they would be. He made these statements as he spoke last month at the Conservative Political Action Committee (CPAC) in Washington.

Said Breitbart (via Mediaite.com): “The videos are going to come out, the narrative is going to come out, that Barack Obama met a bunch of silver ponytails in the 1980s, like Bill (Ayers) and Bernadine (Dohrn), who said one day we would have the presidency, and the rest of us slept as they plotted, and they plotted, and they plotted and they oversaw hundreds of millions of dollars in the Annenberg Challenge and they had real money, from real capitalists. Then they became communists. We got to work on that. That is a parenthesis. Barack Obama is a radical, we should not be afraid to say that! Okay? And Barack Obama was launched from Bill and Bernadine’s salon. I’ve been there.”

Breitbart got some press during his time at CPAC, telling Occupy protesters to “stop raping people” and yelling “behave yourself! Behave yourself!” like a father talking to a child. He let the Occupiers have it, screaming at them: "Filthy freaks! “You're freaks and animals!" It's a little startling to watch. He was like a mad dog. The Occupiers, at the end of the video, seemed a little startled by their encounter with Breitbart.

But Breitbart was unapologetic about being a conservative and letting others know about it. He loved individualism and despised collectivism. He saw Occupy as a bunch of spoiled kids and ineffectual liberal jerkoffs buying into the dead-end street of collectivism.

Breitbart knew he was a major target and that his enemies were numerous as he went after various liberal/left outfits like ACORN, Planned Parenthood and others. In 2010, in a Politico article, he said, "I am public enemy No. 1 or 2 to the Democratic Party, the progressive movement and the Obama administration based upon the successes my journalism has had."

I read and reviewed Breitbart's book Righteous Indignation last year. It was a great autobiography and gave an overview of his life in California, becoming a "default liberal," partying it up while a college student at Tulane, and then discovering the Internet and the Drudge Report. He would go on to help Drudge and help start up the influential Huffington Post.

Conservative radio talk-show host Sean Hannity told his listeners today that people on Twitter and blogs should refrain from spreading “conspiracy theories” about Breitbart and the nature of his death. He said he knew for a fact that Breitbart had “heart problems” and that he lived his life at “100 miles an hour.” That's one man's opinion. A lot of people out there, from reading threads and Twitter, is that folks are far more suspicious.

Hannity also featured Breitbart friend Stephen Bannon who told Hannity and his audience that "about a year ago, Andrew had some heart issues, was short of breath." As a result, they moved his office closer to his home. And that indeed may be true. Davy Jones is reported to have had a heart attack yesterday. It happens. But was this alleged heart condition that serious. Why was he out walking around at midnight. We hope all this information comes out and that the Obama tapes are not "disappeared," "destroyed" or "erased." Especially as we see the heat rising on Obama as Maricopa County, Ariz. Sheriff Joe Arpaio releases his report about Obama's eligibility and questions about his background. His report is saying Obama's birth certificate is a "computer-generated forgery." Wow!

And, at the same time, I learn of Breitbart's death while interviewing Randall Terry, the Operation Rescue founder and anti-abortion leader who hopes to defeat Obama by taking away votes either as a Democrat or independent, depending on the swing states he qualifies in. But with so much voter fraud rampant, who knows what will happen.

And, as is usually the case (think heroic OKC Police Officer Terry Yeakey or investigative reporter Gary Webb), the media reports the suicide/natural cause story. And friends are put forward to say "Oh, they were suicidal and only told me about it." Yeah, sure.

Breitbart friend Steve Bannon spoke to Hannity today and said he was aware of Breitbart's health problems: “About a year ago, Andrew had some heart issues, was short of breath.”

I still can't ignore the thought that something more sinister took place.

With so many hundreds of millions of dollars being spent to support Obama’s re-election campaign, a lot is at stake – a lot! And with Breitbart – a major target for the left – shouting it from the rooftops that he was going to be releasing these tapes? And yet the media is jumping to the conclusion that Breitbart died of natural causes before an autopsy is conducted. It's like Deborah "DC Madam" Palfrey committing "suicide" in 2008 after it was exposed that her escort service had included clients like Vice-President Dick Cheney and U.S. Sen. David Vitter (R-La.).

I was asked to talk about Breitbart on The Alex Jones Show today. I told Jones and his massive audience that I admired Breitbart and his work and passion but that I also thought there is a chance he may have been murdered. I hated to think that, but knowing what an influential voice Breitbart had, it's hard not to think that was the case, just as U.S. Sen. Paul Wellstone (D-Minn.) was a big anti-war voice and died saying he was not going to support the upcoming invasion of Iraq.

Will we see the tapes? Maybe some? Maybe all? The timing just seems way too coincidental. Alex Jones said he found it curious that Breitbart was talking so much about the tapes. Jones said Breitbart thought he was "bulletproof." He also noted that there seems to be a "purge" of true conservative/libertarian media figures like Judge Andrew Napolitano and his excellent Freedom Watch show. Again, it's all a little curious.

“My gut is telling me they killed Andrew Breitbart,” Alex Jones said on his show today. Sadly, I agree with him.

Wondered why Somalia`s name has come up so much recently in the news? Because of OIL!

Britain eyeing share in Somalia's future energy industry

British media say the government’s move to offer humanitarian aid and security assistance to Somalia is aimed at winning a stake in country's future energy industry.

In a report published Saturday, The Guardian revealed Britain’s involvement in a secret high-stakes dash for oil in Somalia.

Somalia, a former British colony, has been suffering decades of conflict and is known as a hotbed of piracy plaguing international shipping in the Indian Ocean.

In early February, British Foreign Secretary William Hague paid an unannounced visit to Somalia to become the first British Foreign Secretary to visit Mogadishu in almost two decades.

He also appointed Matt Baugh as Britain's first ambassador to war-torn Somalia, which he described the country as "the world's most failed state."

Last week, UK Prime Minister David Cameron hosted an international conference on Somalia where he pledged more aid, financial help and measures to fight terrorism in the African nation.

The Guardian report, however, described the summit as talks between British officials and Somali counterparts over exploiting intact oil reserves in the arid northeastern part of Somalia.

"We have spoken to a number of UK officials, some have offered to help us with the future management of oil revenues. They will help us build our capacity to maximize future earnings from the oil industry," the report cited Abdulkadir Abdi Hashi, the minister for international cooperation in the autonomous Puntland region, as saying.

Puntland is an region in northeastern Somalia, where the first oil is expected to be extracted next month.

Experts say London’s involvement in the future Somali oil industry could prop up the UK’s weakened economy, at a time it has resorted to austerity measures to avoid a budget deficit.

Somali Prime Minister Abdiweli Mohamed Ali said his government had almost no other choice but to persuade Western companies to invest and operate in Somalia by offering a portion of the country's plentiful resources of oil and gas and large reserves of uranium.

Britain's efforts to develop Somalia's natural resources continue while the Canadian company Africa Oil started oil exploration in Puntland in January, the first drilling in Somalia for 21 years.

Chinese and US firms have reportedly also voiced interest about the potential for oil as the country sounds safe enough to drill after two decades of unrelenting war.

Gaddafi sets it straight on the REAL Al Qaeda

In a March 8, 2011 press conference, the great leader of the masses, Muammar Gadhafi indicated alcohol had been left in a mosque in Al Zawiyah by Al Qaeda "rebels" whom he described as "beasts with turbans" who knew nothing about Islam and who would "kill us all". A frightening prediction that would soon come true for countless thousands of Libyans. Shame on those who spent the blood of the libyan people for their own selfish gain.

Wikileaks publishes a private think tanks emails and gives a glimpse into the world of a 'private CIA'

Wikileaks: The GIFiles
2012-02-27
On Monday February 27th, 2012, WikiLeaks began publishing The Global Intelligence Files, over five million e-mails from the Texas headquartered "global intelligence" company Stratfor. The e-mails date between July 2004 and late December 2011. They reveal the inner workings of a company that fronts as an intelligence publisher, but provides confidential intelligence services to large corporations, such as Bhopal’s Dow Chemical Co., Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon and government agencies, including the US Department of Homeland Security, the US Marines and the US Defence Intelligence Agency. The emails show Stratfor’s web of informers, pay-off structure, payment laundering techniques and psychological methods.

The Strategic Forecasting Inc., commonly known as Stratfor, is a private firm dealing in the lucrative business of intelligence gathering and assessment.

Founded in 1996, the company gained global prominence during the NATO bombing of Kosovo in 1999 when its seemingly cutting-edge analysis was publicized by various news agencies. But it was the events of 9/11 and the subsequent “war on terrorism” that elevated the stature of the firm, turning it into a highly sought after informant for major Western media organizations like Bloomberg, Associated Press, Reuters, The New York Times, and the BBC.

...Stratfor was founded over a decade ago in Austin, Texas by George Friedman, a former political science professor. Friedman is the company’s chief intelligence officer, financial overseer, and CEO.

Commonly referred to as the private CIA, Stratfor claims that it gathers its intelligence through a number of publicly accessible sources, such as wire services, chat hubs, other Internet sites, and unclassified government studies, in addition to well-placed sources internationally. The agency now boasts close to 300,000 subscribers and over two million recipients of free email updates.

Until recently, much of the inner workings of Stratfor had been shrouded in mystery. But last December, members of the internet activism collective Anonymous, hacked into the system during the "LulzXmas" campaign to highlight the plight of Bradley Manning, an American soldier currently incarcerated by the US government for suspicion of passing on information to WikiLeaks.

Excerpts from the Arab League observers’ report on Syria make it clear that the establishment media is only telling part of the story and exaggerating violence by the al-Assad government and its police and military.

The report mentions an “armed entity’ that is killing civilians and police and conducting terrorist attacks targeting innocent civilians. Casualties from these attacks are attributed to the al-Assad government and used to build a case against Syria in the United Nations.

According to the Arab League report, the “Free Syria Army” and “armed opposition groups” are responsible for many of the killings.

In January, it was reported that MI6, the CIA, and British SAS are in Syria working with the Free Syrian Army and the Syrian National Council to overthrow the al-Assad regime. The Free Syrian Army is widely recognized as a creation of NATO. It is comprised largely of militants from the Muslim Brotherhood – itself an asset of British intelligence – and is funded, supported, and armed by the United States, Israel, and Turkey.

The report lends credence to reports filed in November of last year by journalist Webster Tarpley, who visited the Middle Eastern nation.

“What average Syrians of all ethnic groups say about this is that they are being shot at by snipers. People complained that there are terrorist snipers who are shooting at civilians, blind terrorism simply for the purpose of destabilizing the country. I would not call this civil war – it is a very misleading term. What you are dealing with here are death squads, you are dealing with terror commandos; this is a typical CIA method. In this case it’s a joint production of CIA, MI6, Mossad, it’s got money coming from Saudi Arabia, The United Arab Emirates and Qatar,” Tarpley told RT.

Tarpley said the United States is pushing a “bankrupt model of the color revolution, backed up by terrorist troops – people from Al-Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood” and the objective is “to smash the Middle East according to ethnic lines.”

Excerpts from the Arab League observers’ report make it clear “that there is widespread violence on both sides, but that the opposition and the Western media have exaggerated the violence and casualties inflicted by government forces,” writes Nicolas Davies for War Is A Crime blog, formerly After Downing Street.

“The UN has stopped accepting casualty figures claimed by the opposition, and has frozen its “official” estimate of civilian deaths at 5,400, without acknowledging that this may already be highly exaggerated,” Davies explains. “This is not yet a bloodbath on the scale of Libya, where even the new government admits that at least 25,000 people died in the NATO-led war. Syria could follow the Libya model though, if NATO and the GCC keep providing weapons and military training to the Free Syrian Army and are prepared to beef it up with special forces on the ground, and as long as the UN approves a no-fly zone to provide cover for another 9,700 air strikes.”

The establishment media put the number of dead between 1,000 and 5,000. The International Criminal Court, Hisham Abu Hajer (of the Libyan “rebels,” in other words al-Qaeda), Pravda and other sources put the number at between 50,000 and 100,000. Tarpley estimated the number at 150,000, a staggering number for a population of just under six and half million people.

Relevant excepts from Report of the Head of the League of Arab States Observer Mission to Syria from December 24, 2011 to January 18, 2012 follow:
“The Mission determined that there is an armed entity that is not mentioned in the protocol. This development on the ground can undoubtedly be attributed to the excessive use of force by Syrian Government forces in response to protests that occurred before the deployment of the Mission demanding the fall of the regime. In some zones, this armed entity reacted by attacking Syrian security forces and citizens, causing the Government to respond with further violence. In the end, innocent citizens pay the price for those actions with life and limb.

In Homs, Idlib and Hama, the Observer Mission witnessed acts of violence being committed against Government forces and civilians that resulted in several deaths and injuries. Examples of those acts include the bombing of a civilian bus, killing eight persons and injuring others, including women and children, and the bombing of a train carrying diesel oil. In another incident in Homs, a police bus was blown up, killing two police officers. A fuel pipeline and some small bridges were also bombed.

28. The Mission noted that many parties falsely reported that explosions or violence had occurred in several locations. When the observers went to those locations, they found that those reports were unfounded.
29. The Mission also noted that, according to its teams in the field, the media exaggerated the nature of the incidents and the number of persons killed in incidents and protests in certain towns.
According to their latest reports and their briefings to the Head of the Mission on 17 January 2012 in preparation for this report, group team leaders witnessed peaceful demonstrations by both Government supporters and the opposition in several places. None of those demonstrations were disrupted, except for some minor clashes with the Mission and between loyalists and opposition. These have not resulted in fatalities since the last presentation before the Arab Ministerial Committee on the Situation in Syria at its meeting of 8 January 2012.

Some observers reneged on their duties and broke the oath they had taken. They made contact with officials from their countries and gave them exaggerated accounts of events. Those officials consequently developed a bleak and unfounded picture of the situation.
Arab and foreign audiences of certain media organizations have questioned the Mission’s credibility because those organizations use the media to distort the facts. It will be difficult to overcome this problem unless there is political and media support for the Mission and its mandate. It is only natural that some negative incidents should occur as it conducts its activities because such incidents occur as a matter of course in similar missions.

75. Recently, there have been incidents that could widen the gap and increase bitterness between the parties. These incidents can have grave consequences and lead to the loss of life and property. Such incidents include the bombing of buildings, trains carrying fuel, vehicles carrying diesel oil and explosions targeting the police, members of the media and fuel pipelines. Some of those attacks have been carried out by the Free Syrian Army and some by other armed opposition groups.

Since its establishment, attitudes towards the Mission have been characterized by insincerity or, more broadly speaking, a lack of seriousness. Before it began carrying out its mandate and even before its members had arrived, the Mission was the target of a vicious campaign directed against the League of Arab States and the Head of the Mission, a campaign that increased in intensity after the observers’ deployment. The Mission still lack the political and media support it needs in order to fulfil its mandate. Should its mandate be extended, the goals set out in the Protocol will not be achieved unless such support is provided and the Mission receives the backing it needs to ensure the success of the Arab solution.”

I guess President Obama `aint telling us the WHOLE truth on the Afghan War

Is it a surprise, really?

'Obama fools citizens over Afghan war’
Press TV
February 7, 2012

An interview with Paul Martin, political director of Peace Action:

An outstanding political activist says that despite US President Barrack Obama declaring success in the war on Afghanistan, the US government has lost control of the country.

United States Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Davis has warned that the mission in Afghanistan is a failure.

The top US military official has also accused Washington of misleading the American people about its war in the Asian country.

Press TV has conducted an interview with Paul Martin, political director of Peace Action, to further discuss the issue.

The following is a transcription of the interview (click here for interview video).

Press TV: Your take by these latest statements being made by a military man himself, saying that the war has been a failure - your take. And thanks so much for being with us.

Martin: Thanks for having me. It’s not surprising, we’ve known for quite some time, but the Pentagon uses its information services, really, as propaganda to spread the information that they want to spread and to portray things in the light that they want to spread them.

So, when they say things are going successful in Afghanistan, they also said that about Iraq, it’s not surprising that when reporters or others who can have inside information actually find out the facts.

The facts are, such as in Afghanistan, that things aren’t going as well. We do not have control of various parts of Afghanistan. The Afghanistan forces cannot control parts of Afghanistan as our government would like to say, and the strategy is failing.

The only strategy left is a political strategy which means bring the troops out of Afghanistan, and talking to the Taliban and finding some sort of peace process.

Press TV: Of course, Mr. Martin, this has been going on a long time as far as the Afghan war and the Taliban or the militants, actually, getting greater and greater control over the areas. How significant is it, though, that this is a high ranking military official saying this? And at this point in time, during an election year, isn’t it significant?

Martin: Yes, I think so. The Obama administration has been saying that their strategy has been successful and that’s why they’re planning on pulling 33,000 troops out by the end of September.

But it’s clear that the strategy has not been successful and probably part of reasons of pulling the troops out is because this is not a strategy that seems to work.

It is very noteworthy that it’s not only a high ranking military official but it’s a currently serving military official. Colonel Davis is still in the military, he’s actually based in the Pentagon.

So, it’s noteworthy that he took the time to spread this information through various media outlets before finally telling his commanders that he was going to do so.
