Foretelling the truth of Jesus' departure in The 'Apocalypse of Peter' is concurrent with the Islamic Quran`s version

The Apocalypse of Peter - The Nag Hammadi Library [The Gnostic Society Library]

About the Nag Hammadi Library (The Nag Hammadi Scriptures):

"The Nag Hammadi Library, a collection of thirteen ancient codices containing over fifty texts, was discovered in upper Egypt in 1945. This immensely important discovery includes a large number of primary "Gnostic Gospels" -- texts once thought to have been entirely destroyed during the early Christian struggle to define "orthodoxy" -- scriptures such as the Gospel of Thomas, the Gospel of Philip, and the Gospel of Truth.

The discovery and translation of the Nag Hammadi library, completed in the 1970's, has provided impetus to a major re-evaluation of early Christian history and the nature of Gnosticism."
From Agreeableviews816 [In the Name of Allah]: " The Apocalypse of Peter" -

In 1945, "The Apocalypse of Peter" was among the ancient manuscripts found and discovered in Egypt`s Nag Hammadi library, dated by scholars to the 1st or 2nd century CE.

...Whats interesting about this version of the Gospel is that it confirms the Quran`s  revelation about Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) being literally substituted on the cross:

(And because of their saying, "We killed Al-Masih `Isa (Jesus), son of Maryam, the
Messenger of Allah,'' but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but it appeared as that to
them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts. They have no (certain) knowledge,
they follow nothing but conjecture. For surely; they killed him not.) Noble Qur`an, Sura
      An-Nisa, 4:157

The Apocalypse of Peter foretells this (the above) confirming Revelation:

...When he had said those things, I saw him seemingly being seized by them. And I said
"What do I see, O Lord? That it is you yourself whom they take, and that you are grasping
me? Or who is this one, glad and laughing on the tree? And is it another one whose feet
     and hands they are striking?..."

The Savior (Jesus, peace be upon him) said to me, "He whom you saw on the tree, glad
and laughing, this is the living Jesus. But this one into whose hands and feet they drive

the nails is his fleshly part, which is the substitute being put to shame, the one who came
into being in his likeness. But look at him and me."

But I, when I had looked, said "Lord, no one is looking at you. Let us flee this place."

But he said to me, "I have told you, 'Leave the blind alone!'. And you, see how they do not
know what they are saying. For the son of their glory instead of my servant, they have put

     to shame."

This historical piece of manuscript seems to support the revelation in the noble Qur`an and Islamic belief concerning the crucifixion of Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) as well as validating the Qur`an as the word of God Almighty.

In the pursuit of truth and harmony - may we all find peace and happiness and may God bless us all in our endeavors. We ask the Almighty to help us praise Him the way He should be praised and topray to Him as He as ordained.
